Mangiare Ristorante Italiano — Restaurant in West Suffolk

I went again on my birthday the day they opened back up post covid lockdown, july 6. It was the exact perfect food I remembered from before. Social distance measures were followed to exact guidlines. The only downside is my stomach has shrunk during lockdown so I couldnt shovel any more food down my throat. Portion sizes are excellent! Great price, awesome atmosphere, awesome staff and most of all I felt safe. I was worried at first with my 1 1/2 year old daughter and pregnant wife but after we went in again we felt happy. We found this place a year ago and have been back well over 30 times. It is by far our favourite place to eat around. If any staff are reading this, you know us and our daughter with a love for mushrooms. We love you and your food. Thank you! Your food is always consistently good, we have never had to send anything back for any problem. Yes its that damn good!

Edit: 16APR21 Went back again as soon as we found out this place was open again. The food was just like it was months ago when they closed due to covid. Im 100% satisfied with the service and quality of the food. Prices are up but im not going to let that get in the way of excellent food and a fat belly. I was worried I'd never be able to enjoy this place again because its the best restaurant around that doesnt break the bank and I leave the country in 2 weeks. I will miss this place but my little family is off to Italy so we are looking forward to what this place has opened...

Really enjoyed my trip to this restaurant as I had heard good things about it from other people. A really lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a lovely look to it. The food is really really good, the menu has a real good choice of different Italian food to try and there really is something for everyone. Food came quick and was very tasty! I had rigatoni with luguenga and Nduja in spicy tomato sauce. My girlfriend had the bolognese and their was a bit of a mix up she asked for it without cheese on top and it came with cheese on top too which it was replaced but second time it came back the cheese off the top was gone but still bits of cheese within the bolognese so had to be sent back again and third time it did come without cheese. Without us complaining or anything as the service was really good the restaurant actually just took the bolognese meal off the bill which we told them they really didn't have to do but insisted which was a really nice touch from them. I found this restaurant on a whim yesterday while out running errands. We decided to give it a try based on the photos on Google and overall food ratings. I'll give our personal experience from start to finish:

We arrived without reservation and saw there were only a few people dining. They were able to seat us within 3-5 which was great. The initial thought of the restaurant was that is was clean, spacious and comfortable. We ordered a few drinks (expresso martini, disarrano, and a very nice beer on draft) all were good. For food we had the garlic bread with cheese, mussels, vegetarian pizza, chicken with pasta (rigatoni I think), and honey cheesecake and bread pudding for dessert. The mussels and bread came out almost immediately but it took 30 minutes for the pasta and the pizza to come out which was offsetting when the kitchen wasn't busy at the time and the waitress had to go inquire about it.
