This is a clearly popular place, as it was rammed during the middle of the day on Sunday, and in many respects i can see why. From the decor to the service and on to the baked goods counter (two items of which were definitely top notch!)

With that said when it came to the bevvies, I was left rather disappointed, which is a shame, given that coffee is the raison-d-etre of this place, and in the name of the establishment too.

For starters the tea pot arrived completely unbrewed, a sign of haste at the least, and the coffee roast was probably an Ethiopean blend (not my preferred flavour profile, but equally a personal preference i must admit) while the oat milk lacked any body, which only made the coffee drinking experience worse.

I would whole heartedly recommend Midgar for the food options, but think i will pass on future caffeinated needs, which is a shame as i had great expectations (maybe too high) and really...

Midgar Café is an absolute must-visit for coffee and matcha lovers! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the friendly staff and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. We ordered their matcha, and it was absolutely amazing—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of sweetness. It’s easily one of the best we’ve had!

The café also offers a great selection of pastries and light bites that pair wonderfully with their drinks. Whether you’re looking for a place to catch up with friends, get some work done, or just enjoy a quiet moment, this spot is perfect.

If you're in Bury St Edmunds, definitely stop by Midgar Café. Highly recommended! We’ll definitely be back for...

Carrot cake was moist and full of flavour. The coffee was not as good as I had hoped. They have a fantastic coffee machine, good grinder and passionate staff, I th8nk the execution of the coffee was poor. Maybe they need to 'dial' in the machine better. At £2.90 for a flat white, I expect micro textured milk and the right balance of coffee. The decor and d3sign is what you would expect from a barista lead coffee shop. The baby chino was free! My son loved the sofa and cake. The staff were pleasent. The range of cakes and savouries was good. I was maybe expecting too much when I saw the 'la...

Nice Cafe It's located at the quiet side of the town. Attracted by the pastry therefore entered this cafe. Most importantly, the cafe has toilets available, what a relief. Coffee and the environment was genuinely nice. Friendly staff. I bought the pastry home to bake. It's 117g, costs £3.40. I love the marinade after taste of the pain au chocolat, which was not available at other cafes. The pastry was not too sweet. Too much sweetness would make me taste blind. I will come back to try other items on the menu.
