I have quite honestly never received such poor service. In actual fact, the lady that met us on arrival and served us was beyond rude to the point of bordering on aggressive. As I was trying to put my mask on my friend and I were firmly spoken to about following rules- the lady herself had her visor on top of her head the entire time, not covering her face.

When I was asked if I had booked, I responded ‘yes, with the time’. I was told there was no booking and they would not have agreed a booking at that time. When I explained that I had booked the table on the website the response was ‘the owner does not want you booking on the website, you should have phoned’. I asked why that feature was available and was told ‘that was the previous owner, we can’t do anything about it’.

We were given menus and when ordering were told ‘those items are not available, we are working on a reduced menu’ - not a problem as many places do but why give these choices on a menu then?

Drinks were placed sharply down on the table and when the food arrived sadly the prawns looked grey and were very unpleasant, unfortunately I was unable to eat them.

I enjoy eating out and rarely complain even if the service is not perfect, however, on this occasion I felt it necessary to write a review. I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable...

Cannot comment on the food as unfortunately never got round to eating it .

We booked for Saturday night at 6pm for 9 of us, before even being seated they told us they needed the table back after a certain time which was fine considering it was a Saturday night .

The waitress started clearing plates during the starters whilst others on the table were still eating.

Unfortunately before the main courses my wife become unconscious randomly twice and we had to call an ambulance. The restaurant were aware what was happening and not once came over just to see if everything was ok or offer any assistance. They also continued to serve our mains to the table , including my wife’s whilst she was receiving care from an ambulance crew at the table.

As you can imagine the remainder of the table wanted to leave as soon as possible after this event so asked for the bill, this took over 20 mins and asking 3 times whilst they watched them deliver bills to other tables immediately.

I completely understand it is not the restaurants fault what happened however, their overall customer service and lack of empathy was...

Absolutely amazing! We were visiting Bury for a wedding, we had a long journey and were getting irritable. The wife had picked this place to eat from Google, and it was a ten minute walk in the rain, which made us more irritable. We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome and a bit of conversation, which I always think adds a personal touch. We ordered a starter, which was absolutely amazing ( I wish I hadn't shared it between the four of us) The mains were to die for. My only negative was the salad to meat ratio, I would have like a little more meat. Taste wise, however, it was all fantastic and big would definitely eat here if visiting again. The kids even tried things they wouldn't normally eat, and I had Baklava for the first time ever and was blown away! Totally worth the price of the while meal. We went mid week and slightly before dinner time, but just prior to us leaving, the restaurant was starting to get a...

In town for work and went out looking for a place to grab dinner and stumbled upon this place. When we walked in the place was empty, wasn’t sure if we were early (was 6:30) or if it was a slow Thursday night. Almost didn’t go in (actually skipped another place because no one was there) and am glad we stayed. Started with the calamari and it was great. They were the size of huge onion rings (four on the plate) and they hit the spot. Had the mixed sheesh - marinated cubes of chicken breast, tender cubes of lamb, chargrilled on a skewer, with rice and mixed greens. It was really good, only thing keeping it from great (and 5 stars) was the chicken was a bit dry. I’ll be back in town again and would gladly eat here again.

The Sheesh Turkish BBQ is not only our favorite Turkish restaurant, but our favorite restaurant. We go almost weekly! The meats are fantastic! The rice is always cooked perfectly, the salad and veggies are good. Just everything! The husband and I always get the lamb sheesh and lamb sheesh with yogurt. 🤤🤤🤤 The Baklava is a perfect dessert to take to-go. Everything is the chef’s kiss! Not only all of that, but the service is always very friendly and top notch. Our son loves the music and dances along in his seat as we wait for our meals. We just love Sheesh Turkish BBG! Pictures are the same meals on two separate visits. Expect a phenomenal meal served with a smile!
