Ajmeer Manzil — Restaurant in Wigan

I am totally dumbfounded and disappointed, me, my husband and daughter have just been into the restaurant to order a takeaway. The gentleman who came to take our order clearly didn’t want our custom. He repeatedly expressed that they were busy, I asked what he recommended, he explained that he doesn't know us and he wouldn’t be able to advise us as he know what we preferred. Again he expressed how busy they were and it would take up to an hour to deliver, we said that’s totally fine. He was rude, condescending, arrogant and ignorant and clearly didn’t want our money. I said we would go then as I could see he didn’t want us there, he said “that’s fine then” my daughter was upset when we came out as she couldn’t understand “why that man was being so rude”. The restaurant was busy and I expressed my concern to the gentleman that was serving at one of the tables how he had been with us. I also explained that I work for the NHS and I would t dream of speaking to anyone like he had done with us. We had been recommended to this Indian and sadly I will be making sure that other people are aware of his attitude when they ask for recommendations for an Indian restaurant. Shocked is an...

Up here for work and wanted a curry. Decided I'd be a loser and dine alone, thankfully there was only a few other people in there so I didn't look to much of a Norman no mates! The lads served me quickly and were very polite and professional. I like really spicy curries but ones that also have flavour so was recommended the l Lal-Naga. I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful.

I had 2 poppadoms with pickle tray, onion bhaji starter, veg Pilau rice and the chicken tikka Lal-Naga, Plain naan with a diet coke and it came to just shy of 25 quid. Lovely.

The only downside is the parking for the high street were they are located is a bit fiddly but...

I hope this reaches the owner of this takeaway. We have ordered from here a number of times and the food cant be faulted, to be honest, we always pick up but decide to get it delivered instead for the first time. I gave my card details to the 'Manager' and it didnt work, I said it should work, please try again and the reply was "No I dont want to try again" "have you got another card". I then said OK will pick up and the phone went dead, no detail of time ready or anything. Rang back and cancelled this order & won't be going back & we used to order very often. Nightmare service.
