Beware of the prices they charge you for drinks.

I’d previously ordered a gin & Tonic and a Vodka lime and Lemonade which I was happy to pay £14.85 for single Measures

2 minutes later I returned to the bar as I forgot to order an additional vodka lime and lemonade (all single measures)

I asked for the drink and the price was £10.80

Whilst waiting to be served another bar server asked me if I needed anything and I queried the price as the electronic reader said I needed to pay £10.80 ???

I said this couldn’t be right as I had just paid £14.80 less than five minutes ago for two drinks, so he investigated it and spoke with the person who served me. I also spoke with another lady and said to both of them “Why would you do this ?”

When he asked the bar tender who served Me why I’d be charged too much he replied “He asked for a double “

I said I hadn’t and never mentioned a double

I paid for the single drink at £ 7.25 and the lady said I might as well take the double that he served (she wasn’t being awkward at all , just helpful)

I thanked her but genuinely felt like they were trying to charge me for a double when I never ordered one ; and feel like I was getting the wool pulled over my eyes and honestly Thought they were “Ripping me off”

Perhaps this was a mistake but why wouldn’t they ask me in the first instance if I wanted a single or double like other establishments like Alberts or Asylum 🤔🤔

It’s Just a note to be careful what you order for anyone...

The food was very good but the attitude and customer service of the manager or owner leaves a lot to be desired. Party of 7, ( 2 ordered from the small plate menu and 5 of us ordered steaks) Small plates came out 20 mins before our steaks, leaving our two guests feeling embarrassed about eating and finishing whilst our food had not arrived. I went to bar to ask about our steaks and the manager was unapologetic, justifying the wait by saying one steak was requested well done and needed 30 mins resting. When steaks arrived all where delicious but the managers attitude appeared to be my pub is full , tough. I don't think it was remiss of me to expect an apology saying, sorry about your wait. I won't be returning as there are other fantastic restaurants just down the road in Shevington and I am sure they would never speak to a customer in...

We have visited this lovely bar and restaurant a few times now and always had a very positive experience. The food is delicious and we've been here for evening meals and breakfast. I can't get enough of the hummus and raisin as a nibble and bacon chop main meal but there are both small plates, large plates and pizza options as wall as nibbles and sides. Shakshuka breakfast was really tasty. Well stocked bar with draught and bottled beers, wines and a good selection of cocktails. The atmosphere and decor is lovely with both indoor and outdoor dining space and a decent size outdoor space if you are after a few drinks in the sun. It has always been pleasantly busy when we've been and service is friendly and prompt. I would say book in advance to avoid any...

Huge sitting area indoor and outdoor. Heaters above the tables in the seating area at the back, which was lovely. Ordered a hot chocolate, which was nice. Was initially told that there was no food available as there was a party upstairs but then they were able to do chips with a chipotle sauce for us , which was good. No parking on site but there’s a small parking lot towards the back witj about 10-12 spaces.

Fab addition to standish. Lovely beer garden and love the tables with board games and cards (wished more places did this) Food is fantastic 😋 large portions, and reasonably priced. Drinks are a little more expensive, more alberts prices, but still good 🍹🍸
