My father and I had parked in the Linghams car park. We were going to choose Linghams but farther preferred Costa. As he went off to exchange money from the bank across the road. I went in to get our drinks.
Inside I chose my orders and waited in the queue. On the front till I saw the sign stating that just because something maybe vegan friendly does not mean itâs okay for people with severe allergies. It also explained that there maybe a risk of cross contamination, something that is so common that itâs just respectable to accept it.
Ahead of me I observed a young man with special needs use a keypad to explain to the young man at the counter what he would like to order?
The devices wasnât loud enough for the counter man to hear. But when the mother stepped forward to turn the device around. The situation was clarified.
The counter then made pleasant talks with the boy, making him happy to be in the cafe.
When it came to my drink I was served by a different individual. He was very nice and perky to be working. He made my drinks, I took them outside and then me and my father sat outside and drank them. Both agreeing they were lovely.
Hope you guys are doing well and that you keep...
Read moreQuite possibly the slowest coffee shop on the planet. It took just under 15 minutes to make one takeaway cappuccino with only four other drinks in front of me. The mature lady operating the machine only seems able to do one thing at once and even then slowly. Eventually (presumably as I'd expressed my concern) a luke warm cup of coffee with warm milk slopped on top was thrust at me. I'm not going to make any apologies for 'everyones always in a rush' claims, it's a takeaway coffee shop not a library. The staff don't seem to be up for the job. One of them was drifting loudly around the place performing some kind of abstract stand up comedy act, either that or she's had one too many free espressos. The place is also filthy. I only went there to get my points. I'll never go in again, I'll stick to the other multiple coffee shops in Heswall. I suggest you...
Read moreVisited the Heswall Costa with my daughter and grandchildren. Unfortunately my granddaughter dropped her milkshake which spilled onto the table, my trousers, my handbag which was on the floor and the floor under my chair. We tried to clean it up with some tissues and asked the staff for help. An assistant gave me a handful of napkins which was never going to be enough. We again asked for help and a mop. The assistant brought a damp mop mop over and swished it under my chair and that was it. None of the staff asked if we were ok or came to help us clean up. We had noticed that some of the tables and chairs in the cafe were sticky and now we know why. The housekeeping is none existent. A very unpleasant experience, customer service non existent. I donât suppose anyone from Costa will read this. We certainly wonât be going into that...
