Great food at a great price! Also you don’t have to have starters followed by a main. You can just have three starters if you like. As well as having garlic bread I like to go for the black pudding and hash bites and the jalapeño poppers as you can’t get them everywhere. These are my personal favourites. Also they have a great Christmas dinner. When You come to have your Christmas dinner, they have your table all decked out for you with crackers and balloons. They really make an effort! I had the pâté to start, the nut roast as a main and the Belgian chocolate torte for desert. I also had a side of dirty pigs in blanket‘s, they‘re unique twist on pigs in blanket’s. These were pigs in blanket’s in chilli sauce! They were so yummy! Would highly recommend this place! The Christmas dinner isn’t that expensive either, so it’s good for groups...

We came to The Johnny Pye for our Yard Christmas night out, and unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment from start to finish. First, despite booking ahead, there weren’t enough seats around the table, which set a bad tone for the evening.

The Christmas dinner was absolutely appalling—it looked like a microwave meal. The portions were tiny: two dry potatoes, a small amount of turkey, and gravy that resembled dirty water. It was tasteless and unappetizing.

To top it off, when the band started playing later in the evening, it was so loud it felt like a concert. You couldn’t even hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation.

Overall, it was a really poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for any kind of...

Nice beer if you can persuade somebody to sell it to you. I sat at the bar and finished my pint, then waited for someone to notice the empty glass in front of me. Sunday night at 9.35 there were three bar staff and seven customers. I waited.. and waited. Fifteen minutes later my friend finished his pint and I persuaded him to sit there till 10pm just to see what happened. After another five minutes a barmaid appeared and took our empty glasses away without a word.
