Unfortunately, the food and service were awful on this occasion. We ordered four main meals and all were merely just warm. We were sat in front of the kitchen and one of the group noticed some of our food sat under the heat lamp for over ten minutes before being served to us. The venue was not busy and we could not understand why it took so long. We then ordered two desserts. We asked the server to swap the spoons as there was food all over both and had clearly not been washed properly after the previous use. One dessert was described as “warm” on the menu but came cold to touch and with one scoop of ice cream and not two as stated on the menu and the other, salted caramel sticky toffee was absolutely freezing cold and had not even been warmed. We had to send this back and have it swapped. We did see numerous dishes being taken back to the kitchen throughout our visit so clearly those in the kitchen were having issues with the standards of food being served as we had experienced. Very...

We stopped in last night for food at about 10pm, we use Wetherspoon pubs every week because of the fact they serve till 11pm and never had a problem anywhere else, we are good customers. We were sat within ear shot of the kitchen and as my order pinged up to them the dissatisfaction of the kitchen staff was made clear to us at the table as we could hear them - making us feel bad for ordering. However, they got their revenge by serving us the worse food I've ever eaten in any Wetherspoon. My friend said his pizza was nice. But his bowl of chips were black, dry and stale, as were mine. They'd obviously been cleaning the kitchen not expecting to serve again and most of my food tasted quite strongly of soap, my friend had noticed it as well on his food. We didn't have time to argue about it, as we needed to drive an hour home to Manchester once we'd eaten but it is without doubt the most disgusting food I've ever paid to receive anywhere ever. I'd avoid eating in this...

I was in a group, but we all ordered separately, quoting our table numbers when ordering. I ordered the burger off the festive menu, and after waiting for a long while after everyone else got their meals, I went and asked the staff to see where mine was. They came back a bit later on with the cheapest burger from the normal menu, not the one I ordered. The staff member said that someone must have eaten mine, but the staff never called out my table number when bringing out the meals, so if they gave someone else my meal, the mistake was theirs. The staff gave the excuse that their manager said there's nothing they can do, and it's basically have the cheap burger or nothing. Poor, unprofessional service. I understand mistakes happen, but to fob me off and refuse to give me the meal I paid for instead of owning their own mistake means I won't be eating...

Visited today on passing through Heswell. We knew it was fairly new so as it's a spoons it's always worth a punt. It was a Sunday lunchtime and surprisingly quiet. Lovely seating areas on both the left & right side as you enter. Found a nice quiet corner table and ordered our food. Our Chicken Buttermilk burgers arrived quickly, hot & plentiful. The chips were cooked to perfection, as was the burger. Cannot complain about the food or service in any way whatsoever and my only gripe is the lack of parking but sometimes this is the way of many of their establishments. Certainly will not stop us visiting again though. Also a nice outside eating & drinking area which will be lovely in the summer

It was my first visit here but must say this is probably the best weatherspoons I've been to on the wirral. This place is great. Feels a lot more up market due to it being so light and airy, with an open kitchen to the left side, which is great. It really is a lovely atmosphere. Great service with great prices. The terrace on the left side is really nice, too, particularly with the pagoda. The food was a very good standard. The only one issue I had was a pork steak on the mixed grill was quite dry. I'm sure it used to be a chicken breat. That being said, everything was fine, and this will most definitely be my weatherspoons of choice going forward.

A very large establishment. Usual Spoons, great 👍 value and ambience. Will definitely be back soon. Update: return visit - Steak, chips and a large Pinot Grigio £12.69; an absolute bargain! Really busy when I popped in August 2024 on a Tuesday evening. Staff were overwhelmed by the Wetherspoons App orders bless em. Thank you 😊 for taking time to speak to me when I made my order at the bar.
