Muff's Butchers — Restaurant in Wirral

This butchers was brilliant, but lately seems to have a few issues. I brought chicken on multiple occasions (vacuum packed and in date) upon opening it it smelt rotten… the next issue was when ordering steak the young lad cut it 1cm thick (as asked) on the fatty top but when he cut downwards it ended up bacon thin, so I paid silly money for basically a strip of fat (I put this down to a bad day but it’s happening every time - stopped buying it now) also give the venison sausage a miss I brought a few times, each time it went in the bin, with the price increase on all there meats I would expect better quality...

I've got to say this place is brilliant lovley shop and quality foods visited yesterday and what a great pair of guys served us couldn't do enough to help us . We knew how good the meat was because we used to go to gordale to get it 10 out of 10 . What I would say is some of the reviews I've just read saying the hot food wasn't good and cooking times were not on the packaging . I know it could all be rectified by simply asking the staff they were great...

For lunch today I had crunchy fried rice, freezing chips, cold chicken pieces and sui mai harder than teeth! Previously the food was great and reasonably priced! Today's experience was zero for quality and now very very expensive (nearly £30 for two lunch meals). From your recent reviews things look like they need improving/ updating!
