Varied quality food (read review till the end!) The pasta I had was the worst I had ever eaten out. The pasta itself was so overcooked that I couldn't pick it up properly as it fell off the fork. The sauce was watery and bland and had vines sticking out of it! The sauce was supposed to be 'arrabiata' i.e. spicy, but it was not at all. I would have told the staff I was disappointed with the food, but they did not check on us, so I felt unable to. That being said, the salt and pepper chips were very nice!

Me and my partner visited here on Saturday for the first time, we did not book but staff were very accommodating and friendly and managed to squeeze us in! The food was incredible, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great! Only let down is we wanted to leave a generous tip for our experience but card machines wouldn’t allow us to add one on! We now know for next time to take some cash!! Great place, will definitely be returning soon and would recommend highly to others!!

We popped in to Oxton for some lunch, never been here before - the atmosphere was gorgeous, the staff especially ‘Ava’ who was super friendly & chatty. All the staff were great. The soup was a delight- so much so the chef had to tell us his secret ingredient 😉 super dog friendly even going as far as having a dog menu!!! I’ll be back with friends and dogs! 🤘

What a dreadful experience From start to finish. We walked into this establishment and waited as the sign instructed, for someone to come and seat us. Eventually we decided to sit down ourselves because no one was giving us any kind of attention at all. We had to ask for menus. A gentleman came over and Took our order for drinks. Then a young girl came over to take our order for food. I ordered a full English and my companion ordered X Florentine. The food eventually came out and the eggs and the Florentine were watery and undercooked. My companion asked for them to be returned and said don’t worry about the eggs I’ll just have the salmon and the toast. The Benedict sauce was not given so I went up and asked for it. I was then given a tiny portion and return to the table. The source was cold. I then asked for it to be heated up as I like my Benedict sauce warm. The chef said it can’t be served warm and must be served cold. I disagreed and showed him on the Internet how to serve it warm. He laughed. Needless to say we won’t be returning. Service was bad, food was awful and a chef who doesn’t know how to warm Benedict source shouldn’t be working in a restaurant environment as far as...

New to the area so me and my partner came here today and both got a vegan scouse, a sandwich to try and some skin on fries and 2 waters. The place seems to be busy so that’s a good start - nice atmosphere and is dog friendly, a dog always brings a smile ❤️

We got our order taken after a while but we did have to ask but understandable as it was busy, we ordered and the food all came together shortly after l. We was massively underwhelmed with the vegan scouse, it consisted of carrots and a few potato’s in a light coloured broth but you don’t get a lot at all, it just tasted like pepper no nice undertones like a Scouse would have and the skin on fries was just packet fries, not skin on? - my partner liked the sandwich but can’t go wrong with halloumi jam and lettuce on toast.

We waited to pay the bill so went up to ask for the bill and was not asked how the food was or we was not asked when we was eating either so I expressed we didn’t like the vegan scouse and just gave our feedback which the lady said she will pass it on and was kind enough to take our 2 waters off the bill, but still left hungry so needed to get food elsewhere 🥹

Still a nice atmosphere...

Sad to say it's not what it used to be. Overpriced and very little of it. Both had the cooked breakfast which for over ÂŁ12 each was very small. Tiny plate with 1 sausage, 2 small pieces of streaky bacon and small portions of the other items. Although thoroughly cooked both meals were lukewarm warm when we received them. Toast which I appreciate is sourdough was rock hard and by putting the butter underneath this just creates liquid butter which is impossible to spread. While staff did ask if all was ok they continued walking past as soon as they asked the question not giving any opportunity to say if anything wasn't ok. Such a shame as this place used to be fantastic and while I understand prices have gone up it's just not comparable with their competitors. Much better value for money and quality at Muzzy's Breakfast house or Nemesis cafe ( although appreciate the setting is not as nice at Nemesis). Also the small problem of a member of staff suffering from body odour which I appreciate is a really sensitive subject however just not acceptable when serving food as it's extremely off putting. Really hope this place finds...
