I came in for dinner after calling the restaurant to make a reservation and to ask if they have vegan vegetarian options on the menu. I was told there was. We were enjoying our dinner until I found pork inside my kimchi stew. On ordering the stew there is ‘NO PORK’ option on the order form, which I ticked. We informed the waitress who came back and apologised for the mistake which was made by the chef in the kitchen. Apparently the waitress wrote NO PORK on the order but the chef missed this. We don’t eat pork as it is forbidden in our religion so it was very upsetting for us. The waitress offered to make the dish again without the pork this time, but we refused and wanted to pay and leave as we were really upset. When the bill came they omitted that one dish but gave no discount and added the 10% service charge on the bill! We asked to speak to the manger but was told she couldn’t come out as she doesn’t speak English. The gentleman who came out instead laughed and said the kimchi soup has no flavour it without the pork! The lack of remorse and understanding or basic care of rectifying the situation even though they could See how distressed we were was appalling. After we complained to the staff and complained about them adding service charge to the bill they reluctantly omitted the service charge off the bill. I will never recommend this place for anyone vegan vegetarian or with any allergies or food intolerances be it religious of other ...

My only regret is that I have lived next to this for months and never realized. They will be seeing allot of me in the near future.
It truly is an amazing diamond in the rough. While it is in a rather unassuming location, I have not come across such friendly staff who where so proud of their food. I cant recommend this enough. It has a real family owned feel and the chef took great pleasure in explaining his amazing food to us and the story behind it.
We went for the K-formal meal which was amazing value at just £11 per person! We would have paid way much more for such quality and taste. Drinks are also very reasonably priced. If its your first visit I would really recommend this. The sushi also looked amazing but the sushi chef is on holiday right now. Everything they make is from scratch and done to an amazing standard.
This price is phenomenal for the number of sides and the quality of the ingredients. We both had the Beef Bulgogi which was truly exceptional. We got a starter, main and nine big sides and fruit for desert! All the food tasted so fresh and each dish was an amazing experience in its self. We also had an amazing fish course which is the best fish I ever tasted at any restaurant. (Korean or otherwise)
I cannot wait to go back and try the Korean table BBQ or the Bibimbap both looked amazing at other...
Read moreHaving visited most of the Korean Restaurants in New Malden, as well as some in London (and even one in Perth, Australia) and having a Korean girlfriend who often cooks for me, I am very familiar with the cuisine.
I randomly stumbled upon this restaurant through a Google search and visited it that night. It is curiously tucked away inside an industrial estate, but I believe they supply lunch to Samsung’s UK head office, so hence a convenient location for that. The décor is very clean and simple, like a traditional Korean kitchen. We were greeted by a friendly man and woman, who are the owners of the restaurant and they made us feel very welcome.
And of course, the food – Fresh and authentic, with great flavour. If you’re new to Korean food then you can’t go wrong with Beef Bibimbap or Beef Bulgogi, both very popular dishes. Dinner came to £45 between 3 people (with a couple of Korean beers) and so is very reasonably priced. Furthermore, we were also served complimentary dumplings for appetisers and watermelon for dessert. I have yet to experience this at any other Korean restaurant and it was a nice touch.
In conclusion, this is a great restaurant with great service and reasonably priced. It is well worth a visit. I need not bother to travel to New...
