It's not the first time I get a bad experience from the slug and lettuce recently so I decided this time will do. Previously they forgot to serve my drink (that I pay on the app) and have to request it directly to them, for my friend, she order something but it was out of order so she have to get something else, guess what ? I have to ask directly to them the refund in the price difference between what we pay for and what we get. Which I let it pass first, but situation happen another time so I was like ok, this is not great but I was having good experience with them before COVID so let's forgot This time, I come the Saturday evening for the 1st time and say this was a disappointment is not enough. First, no one tell you that the outside area will be only for smoker after 21h, like why ? Don't put chair and table outside of it if you will in fact prevent people's to sit without any warning , they was having enough place to do a smoking area AND allowing people to sit but no. The fact that they only let you know when you already have a drink and sit outside is also a big now (like put a sign, an info, whatever) Second the music, it was impossible to speak inside, the music was so high that even screaming was doing nothing to being able to listen to my friends (I pass 2h inside and I don't have a voice anymore because I screamed too much). I don't know, it is a strategy to make people dance ? Put the music so high thats the only thing they can do ? The stair to go to the bathroom... Who have the idea to do stair that people's can see below ? Did no one think that people with dress or skirt will go to the bathroom and maybe don't want to display their panties ? And finally the bathroom... Did actually someone clean / repair them ? No paper In most of them, most of the doors look like someone try to break inside and most of the toilet cannot even be use at all. Seriously, it was great in 2019/2020 but now ? I will...

Booked a table (with a required £20 deposit) for pre theatre meal on Friday evening. Arrived half an hour before booking, which was lucky given the amount of time we waited for our meals. The poor girl who served us at the bar was clearly on her first shift and didn’t know a thing (and didn’t have any help from her co workers) After being told they didn’t have either of the drinks we ordered and us having to point to them in the fridge for her, she charged us twice, all of which was forgivable under the circumstances. We were then told where our table was, which was so sticky we found the spray and blue roll and cleaned it ourselves, stuck some cardboard under the leg to steady the wobble looked over the menu. Once decided (I hadn’t realised how limited the menu was) my daughter went to the bar to order. 50 mins later we were presented with our food (no cutlery as yet). As you can see from the photos, my £10.95 Cheese & Bacon Burger ( I had asked for no bacon) arrived looking no better than a kids ‘happy meal’. There was a half filled cup of chips and a burger with barely any of the advertised fillings. My daughters meal was more substantial but lacked the advertised bbq sauce so once the waitress came back with our cutlery a few minutes later, we asked for the bbq sauce and some ketchup. We were then given a few sachets of cheap catering tomato sauce and left to it!! Awful food, awful service and awful venue!...

This place did used to be a Yates. After eating there tonight I along with my colleagues wish that it still was. The food, when it eventually arrived, was fairly terrible. The chicken that my colleague had was so hard and dried out that she couldn't even cut it with a knife. What kind of a chef/cook thinks that's acceptable to send out to someone to eat is unfathomable. My wagyu burger was a highlight, but when the rest of the meals were as dire as they were that's hardly a selling point. The chips looked like Sainsbury's Basics frozen ones, and the pizza another colleague had looked like the toppings had just been thrown at it - no care or effort whatsoever made to space them out evenly. The service people were actually good, although might need training in the concept of taking away what were very clearly empty plates when leaving the table after bringing new orders. I have worked as a waiter - it's basic common sense. Why would you leave empty handed when some people have finished?? For the prices they ask, and the quality of food actually provided, it's awful.
