Okka Lounge — Restaurant in Woking

I went here on a Friday night after looking at Shisha places near or around Thorpe Park (20 minute drive). Parking is an issue here, after 10pm is free which is the only downside I've to say. I went with a group of 6. The food was amazing. I had the Halloumi wrap meal (sadly vegetarian that day) and it was great! My mates had Hummus with bread (fresh bread) and was divine! My other mate had Kofta with rice. She doesn't eat spicy food but had half and she really liked it. The smell coming from it was amazing and was very close to breaking my vegetarian day for it! Shisha, ordered 2 pipes (Carbine ones). One was Lychee & Frozen Raspberry and another Irn Bru & Skittles. Took around 6-8 minutes to come out but for 1 shisha, the water just stood still so they took it back and sorted it out immediately. The other issue we faced was that there was not enough flavour with the Lychee pipe and they rectified it. Smoke was amazing from then on! I'm a guy who looks a shisha place with great service which they delivered. They offered us additional heating as well as allowing us to play our own music (we kindly declined as we like what they were playing). Only can pay in cash. Rude staff, we can understand your rules by mentioning them kindly and in a proper way because most of us were non-smokers, that's not an excuse for me, but it's still not a reason to be rude for normal people walking in to your place. Bad service, after I came back in a few months again to give it another try with some smokers,same way of talking and kinda not welcoming, anyway, (coal was kind of on demand) it was taking long time to be ready and still the place was not even full, only couple of tables with our two tables (because they can't afford seating for many people anytime) I can't blame the member of staff because he was getting the coal, but I guess when a place sets house rules the staff should be eligible to serve in a good and a bit smooth way (reasonable duration for a SHISHA lounge) to get a good rate. I can't mention anything about food as we went for shisha only, but everything looked delicious.

Finally, it's a good place for 5 people max, but don't expect more than 3 stars welcoming and way of treating new customers :) (2017)

Shisha:

The Shisha is amazing and the wide varieties of flavours they have are crazy, the shisha last for hours and hours so very good quality.

Food:

The food is full of flavour and fresh, you can tell how great this place is not just from the shisha but also the food. The taste of the food is out of this world and compared with the price just tops it all off.

Ice Cream/Milkshakes:

Again the taste and presentation of quality is just perfect whether it’s just a plain banana milkshake or a Ferrero Rocher milkshake.

Staff/Management:

The staff at Okka are very helpful and a happy talkative bunch, nice place to become a regular and a great place to socialise.
