Sokury — Restaurant in Woking

Amazing food, until I got food poisoning.

The food from Sokury was always very tasty and had a wide selection and variety. However, my partner and I decided to both get prawn katsu curries from here. The prawns for mine were all taken from the till, whilst the majority of my partners were taken from the kitchen. Later that evening, my partner complained of stomach pains, however felt better soon after. I, at first, felt fine. However I then spent the majority of that night and the following 2 days vomiting and bedbound.

Seems to have gone down hill. Last two times the food was just about warm. Not hot like I've had before. We got home in under five minutes, as home isn't that far away. Served the food up in bowls and when doing so, noted the temperature. The dishes, as I said were both just about warm. Had to put the dishes in the oven to warm them to a decent temperature before we ate it. So much for the temperature controlled dishes they use. I've been going to Sokury since the first week it opened quite some time ago. I've tried most of their menu to date, and I've always loved it. It's a lovely independent place with quality food. The only thing that hurt me as a consumer was the increase in price recently. Which from a business point I understand, and don't get me wrong, I still go there because the food is delicious. But for the increase in price, I haven't been provided with anything else, still the same food and quantity of the same...
