We went to Miller & Carter in occasion of my son’s birthday in Feb. I called the restaurant the day before and advised them of the special occasion. When we arrived I spoke to the person at reception and asked for a desert with a happy birthday message to be presented to my son after dinner and she said it was possible. The restaurant was not busy at all, nevertheless, we had to wait ages to be served, the waitress who was setting the table for us literally dumped the cutlery on the table and was clearly in a bad mood or looked like she didn’t want to serve us. Throughout the evening the staff seemed confused and disconnected, the food came cold, the quality was really average ( im being generous ) we had to ask for drinks multiple times a and the worst was when we ordered dessert, we finished to eat and then waiter arrived as we were about to leave with an empty plate with written “ Happy Birthday “ saying “ I’m son sure for who this is but I have been asked to deliver this” . I was speechless and went to speak to the girl at reception asking her what went wrong ?? And she responded that this is how they do it … on an empty plate with no dessert??! She said “ You can’t have the dessert for free!” And I told her that we never asked for anything to be given to us for free!!! We were paying to be there and simply asked to have a special occasion! Overall the experience was incredibly poor, not only because they screwed up my son’s celebration but their attitude was definitely NOT customer centred considering the amount of money they charge! Sadly, we will never go back and as our first time there, we will ensure our money are taken by restaurants that actually want customers.

Great night out celebrating my Birthday on 6/2/2025. Always a special place we like to visit on a special occasion and when we feel like a juicy steak. Fantastic food and plenty of choices to be had including the atmosphere at Miller and Carter which is located opposite Worcester Cathedral. Please thank Andrew C - who waited on us all evening and Lee who both made the night a most enjoyable occasion. They both helped to recommend fantastic wines to go with our meals and made sure that any allergies were understood and catered for. Andrew C - did a fantastic job and made the experience all the more rememberable in which of course we will be back. I must also add that the Irish coffee I had to finish was so nice that I had to have another. Thanks Lee for that and for the wine. I also can’t forget the people behind the scenes who cook and make the food tasty and presentable all night. Thanks everyone. If anyone is looking for a venue to have a small celebration or if it’s just for two - say Valentine’s Day, then I can’t recommend this place enough. Thanks again Lee and Andrew C for a great night had from Liza and myself Steve. See you back there soon xx

We love your restaurant, we come on our birthdays etc, however I will never visit your restaurant on Christmas Day ever again. It felt like a factory, churning people in and out, serving no frills overpriced food. I had to take the head and tails off my dry king shrimp, which were unceremoniously dumped on a plate with a shrivelled half a lemon, no creamy lemon mayo or anything to dip them in, some of which still had the brown line in. The steak was wonderful (of course and to be expected) however my sons Christmas dinner veg and potatoes were so over cooked they were inedible, the meat again was excellent. Moving onto the dessert - was abysmal, it was supposed to be a chocolate fondant but looked like a plate of brown jelly - to the point I showed the manager and he asked “what is that?” Absolutely gutted that we chose to have our Christmas dinner with you, which cost £300 - no wonder you charged us up front, as I wouldn’t have paid more than £100 in total for that meal for all three of us.

Table water not always free.....

Booked a table for 3 well in advance for husbands birthday. Confirmation emails and texts received on the day confirming that it was 5pm at this restaurant. Arrived to be told our booking wasn't on the system , and suggested we must have wrongly booked elsewhere instead. But found us a table anyway as it was quiet. Showed him the email , he checked his system and sure enough there was my name but someone had mistakenly checked us out 2 & half hours earlier!

As we ordered our drinks our server Rosie asked if we'd also like some water for the table , which has always been served free in a jug before , but it arrived in a bottle. Thought nothing of it (and only hubby drank his glass of water in the end ) then checking the bill found we had been charged £5 for the water.

Food expensive but enjoyable as all 3 main dishes were well cooked. The 16oz & 8oz Ribeye steaks were cooked to son and hubbys liking , and my Bourbon Chicken was very tasty and succulent. Followed by 3 different deserts which were well presented.

We visit this restaurant regularly and were really looking forwards to husbands birthday meal . But the awkwardness of being greeted by wrongly telling us we hadn't actually got a booking , then the extra £5 on the bill for water which we were expecting to be free tap water put a bit of a damper on the special occassion. Recent experience on a Saturday evening 16th Sept. Hadn't booked a table , but friendly greeting and they had a table for the 3 of us available despite being very busy. Excellent service by Stephen , who said he had only just started the job. Very pleasant and attentive. Our Maple Chicken , Steak , and burger meals were all well cooked and delicious. Draught drinks kept well again , in addition to the 19 Crimes Wine. Glad we dined here again as food and service has been consistently good each visit.

Excellent pleasant efficient service from our server Andrew. Food was exceptionally cooked this evening by the chef who was on at 5.15pm thurs 23 march. My Buttermilk Chicken was the best I've ever had and husband was exceptionally pleased with his 50 day old Black Angus Sirloin. Lovely deserts to follow. Drinks yet again kept well and a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal experience. Thanks to Andrew and rest of the team. Will definitely be...

The food for the mains was great when it eventually arrived. However, the service we received on this particular visit was, sadly, woefully under par. The waiter looking after us only came close to our table rarely and we were extremely frustrated by the length of time it took for each of our courses to arrive. We had to ask a different waitress when we could catch one to ask for progress, and at one point our waiter sat at the table next to us why clearing the table! We found this very bizarre! The starters took a while to arrive and my scallops was very tasty but rather cold. This course was cleared away by another waitress eventually and after asking for an update on our mains we were told that it would be very soon. Eventually the wedges arrived, but for the members of our party who hadn't ordered steak they still had nothing. One of these was swimming in watery sauce. After eventually tracking down our waiter and explaining that we were getting very frustrated about the slow service, he went and chased and told us it was currently being prepared. For the one person who hadn't ordered a starter or steak he eventually received food an hour and three quarters after we arrived. He was VERY hungry! We would have expected more attention with updates if the kitchen was very busy. Sadly your service on this occasion, as made me reticent to come again, I expect better for the price...
