Valentinos — Restaurant in Worcester

Felt really quite let down. Having been several times before and enjoyed Valentinos, was very underwhelmed on a recent visit, and standards really do appear to have dropped here. Service whilst polite was incredibly slow, placed our drinks order within a few minutes of being seated, but then after 20 minutes waiting to order our food, and trying to politely call over a server, one of us had to get up and go to the group of them stood talking at the bar to ask if one could possibly take our order. Antipasti sharing board was underwhelming, and both me and my friend agreed mains were okay, but not anything special. Didn't have anybody ask how the food is, or if we'd like anymore drinks, and once again had to go up to the bar and ask for another round.

Having had our plates cleared it took another 20-25 minutes before we were asked if we'd like to see the desert menu, which by that point neither of us could be bothered, asked for the bill which again took an age for them to get around to accepting our money.

I feel bad writing negative reviews, especially having worked in hospitality, and hope Valentinos can improve on the service, which was the main disappointment. Simple solutions can be to get servers to ask if ready to place a food order when delivering drinks, and again when clearing main course plates, ask "would you like to see the...

Have been to this Italian restaurant quite a few times over the years and have always enjoyed it. On this visit I was with a group of friends (four of us in total). It was a Saturday night, and I recommend calling and booking ahead. We called around 7pm and they had a table for us at 8:30pm. It was busy in the restaurant so there was a bit of a wait for drinks order and for them to arrive, maybe 15-20 mins? But I personally am perfectly happy with this for a busy restaurant. I reserved a table for myself and my Partner on Valentines night . It was a great experience the food was very nice and every single member of the staff were very attentive and friendly . There was a nice touch of a single red rose 🥀 o n each table which as a nice gesture each lady was given one to take home as well .Also on the table there was some small plastic red hearts that was nice touch as well .
