What a find!!! A friend suggested we book this little gem of a restaurant and we are so pleased we did!! The service was great, our waitress explained that it was small plates and would come out of the kitchen in no particular order and suggested 2 to 3 plates per person. We initially ordered 2 plates each and went on to order 2 more so 10 in total and it was more than enough (and we all like our food !). Every dish was delicious but our favourites were the mac & kimcheese and the Yamu fried chicken but every dish was full of flavour and prepared with fresh, good quality ingredients. The service was spot on. Friendly and helpful staff who clearly enjoy working in this quirky little restaurant. The toilets were spotless (2 gender neutral cubicles) and stocked with good quality hand soap. We had 2 bottles of very good Sauvignon blanc and our ‘driver’ had 2 cans of Diet Coke! 3 of us shared one dessert (as we had eaten so much one each would have been impossible) and it was big enough for 2 spoons for each and was delicious! The total bill including service was under £160 which we all thought was great value considering the amount we had to eat and drink. All in all a fabulous experience all round, if I had anything negative to say it would be the lack of choice of anything non alcoholic (except soft drinks) apart from a pale ale (an acquired taste I feel). Maybe a zero lager and a cider wouldn’t go amiss especially as so many people seem to be choosing to go alcohol free these days. Book this restaurant now, you will not be...
Read moreInside look lovely nice style but everything else was terrible, The food was small portions which they told us from the start but when the portions came out they were incredibly small for the price you’re paying I paid £5.15 for a bit of salmon on a plate not much larger than a 9volt battery. The sizes of every course are so small compared to the money you are paying if you want to get more value for money I would go to YO! Sushi.
My partner had a pulled pork sandwich it didn’t specify what bread it came with and unfortunately my partner can’t eat white bread so she had to pick the Pulled pork out of it.
The service was awful.. the staff were friendly which is a good thing... there Were people that came in after us and was served their dishes before we were, my partner had a dish come out 10 minutes after mine so I had to eat one of my dishes before it went cold. We ordered all our dishes when we came in and being such small dishes they took a very long time to come out.
Very disappointed and would not go hear again. We were so hungry after we went somewhere else to eat. If you have eaten at yo sushi you will seem how much better it is.
Sorry for the negative review but it was...
Read moreDespite the advice on booking that some tables have bar stools the table we were given was shockingly uncomfortable, extremely shallow and the stools very uncomfortable. The food was ok. Lots of vegan options which is a big selling point as well my partner and I are both vegan. It was incredibly expensive though for small plates and items like the bao bun are not "shareable" as you only get one (at £8!) per portion. The cocktails were tasty, but again, pricey, as was the wine by the glass. Service was disappointing we had to ask twice for new cutlery after the appetiser plates were removed and also twice for more water. Staff seemed to be chatting hanging out by the coffee machine for most of the time we were there which doesn't show a great level of professionalism especially given that the restaurant was full. We also found it embarrassing that service is added automatically and didn't feel we could opt out. Overall it's a cool looking place but pricey and lacks the edge to get us...
