The Couture Cake Company — Restaurant in Wyre Forest

Sadly disappointing. Arrived at 12:20 to order 3 bagels. There was no vegan brownie available (the only vegan sweet bake available). Staff took payment and TEN minutes later informed us there was no houmous (even though there are limited choices for fillings and it was very early in the lunch period). It took a full 25 minutes to make 3 toasted bagels to take out despite there being no other customers in the cafe! During this time the girl in the kitchen asked at least 5 times what we wanted in the bagels (although the girl at the counter had written it all down). The first 2 bagels eventually arrived and the third took a further 8 minutes meaning the first 2 were then cold. Arrived back at the office and opened the bagels. They were TINY! Much smaller than a shop bought NY bagel. My bagel had one small piece of chicken, a small drop of Mayo and one shriveled lettuce leaf - I had asked (several times) for tomato, cucumber and roasted peppers! My colleagues were disappointed with their meager bagels but were so hungry by that point that they ate them. I took mine back and explained the issue. The girl offered to add some salad! I asked for a refund as it was simply not worth £3.50 or even half that amount. Neither member of staff knew how to process a card refund! I ended up just asking for the cash. Their brownies are admittedly very good hence the two stars. Whilst I like to support small, local businesses I won’t be back. La Baguette 150 yards away sell a huge hot pork baguette filled with meat, stuffing, gravy and crackling for £4. Much better...

this cafe may be small in size but delivers big on quality. With seating for 20 indoors and a couple of spots outside, it offers an impressive array of freshly prepared brunch and lunch options. The house-made cake selection is extensive and impressive. Coffee enthusiasts will appreciate the skilled barista creations, and there's a good variety of cold beverages as well. The modern, cheerful atmosphere is family-friendly, featuring a dedicated mini play area for little ones. The coffee is exceptional, and the staff provide quick service with a smile. I would think twice about using this company as, if you need to get in touch with them it's almost impossible. We had a 3 month subscription for cookies and brownies and have needed to get in touch with them twice. First time took aaages for them to reply, second time (because we ended up having to pay the postage on our delivery as theyd not paid enough!!!) - I've messaged (21st December) and emailed (a week ago) and haven't even had an acknowledgment of any kind let alone a reply....
