Zains of Enigma — Restaurant in Wyre Forest

It's not very often I write a review on the same night but when you have had a great time it's nice to tell people. The folk of Stourport will all know which are their favourite 'Indians' but if like me, you fancy a little ride out and want to try somewhere new then here is a good place to begin. It's been around for 10 years or so and therefore must be doing something right. What was a first for me us is that it is a 3 level restaurant, I don't know of another one. The layout would be ideal for separate parties or groups. The entrance to it from the large rear car park gives no indication of what's inside. For some reason I thought of a night club which gives you a clue as to my age. From start to finish I couldn't find fault with anything. The staff were very pleasant and helpful in assisting the wife who is quite 'specific' in what she wants. I am easily pleased as I have a few dishes that I go for. We started with a vegetable pakora which they split onto two plates for us. It was excellent and obviously freshly prepared which makes a change. Our mains of chicken dupiaza and capsilla were again excellent. Very flavoursome and moist chicken, the wife said it was the best dish she has had in a long time. It was more of a Jalfrezi but without the heat. Both portions were deceptively large and like our starters were very nicely presented. The sides were very good, large portions which we didn't manage to finish. Finally a pistachio matka kulfi, including the free pot that it comes in. Just had a delivery from Zains. Not our 1st. Also not our 1st being a 40mins late. So nothing new. But the food is normally good so can usually forgive the lateness. But this time when our food arrived 40mins late in our bag of food was someone else's bag of open rubbish. Yes I know this sounds crazy but it was. Think it was the delivery drivers. Now this was a open bag of rubbish in our fresh bag of food. Now this is basic food hygiene. When I rang to complain it seemed to take a while to make the staff understand what I was ringing for. Once it had sunk in they decided to send the delivery driver back who basically stood on our doorstep calling us liars saying there was no way that bag of rubbish was in our food bag when it was delivered. So not only does the staff not care about your order once it leaves there restaurant. But the people delivering your food don't care about it either. We would eat in the restaurant and have deliveries from Zains. But with no apology that...

So to start of waiting at the bar area for a fare amount of time just to be seated yet there must have been four tables in Then once seated the poor service just started from the no manners in the waiter very miserable not very polite another customer then drop glass onto the floor which shatterd and shards shatterd on top of my partners shoes no consideration from the staff members that the accident had just happens never checking is everything okay that fact glass just shatterd right next to us then curries came out and rice but naan bread several minutes which isn’t ideal overall the food was great tastes wise but the poor front of house service making us feel like we just wanted to leave would have been better to get a takeaway service and...
