So this is the second time I've had this establishments food. The first time coming in to order. But It snapped my head back when the total bill was almost 60$. For 4 cinnamon rolls, and 4 croissants and 2 pieces of pumpkin breqd. 95% of the time I can bank on some killer food for a high price. Unfortunately this was not one of those times. I get them home and cut into the croissants and it's raw inside still. Infant all of the pastries were significantly under cbread. Except the Pumpkin bread, which is why I'm giving it 3☆ not 1☆.

Larue’s is quite small with only 6 tables. The bakery case only had 2 different items inside. Even before noon! I feel like they should have had some baked goods already made in the back in order to just keep bringing out. For just opening the service is very slow with a place not that busy. We had to wait over 30 minutes for “The American”. A breakfast consisting of eggs, toast and bacon. The portion sizes for the price is also extremely expensive as the plate was $16!

Chris recreated the top layer of our wedding cake for our 20th anniversary. It tasted amazing and looked exactly like I hoped it would, right down to the sugar sand and chocolate sea shells and turtle. The amaretto cake and raspberry filling were delicious! Thank you for helping us celebrate our special day!

The gentleman who waited on us was the only good thing about this experience. He was very friendly. Aside from that, not impressed, at all. It was a Sunday morning, and only 3 things were available in the pastry case, and 2 of them were just cookies and macarons The chocolate chip cookie was bad. Just really really bad. It was just a thick hunk of flavorless batter and was kept cold. The only other thing available was a mango scone. This was not a scone. It tasted like a Pillsbury buttermilk biscuit, and had the exact same consistency. And the mango tasted like peach. Not mango. On top of all that, the prices were ridiculously high. You will not be staying in business in this town with nothing available to purchase on a Sunday morning, and those prices. This is not that kind of town. I really wanted to like this place and kept wondering why every time I walked by it was vacant even though they were open. You need to beef up your inventory and bring prices down if you want to thrive here. And please, find a different recipe for chocolate...

C’est magnifique!! Eric and Jessica, I’m not sure how you arrived at these opinions, but everyone, the food here is scrumptious! Quality, homemade, fresh, authentic, reasonable. Maybe McDonald’s will beat the price, but for the quality, their prices are very reasonable, in my experienced opinion. Three people, a couple of whom have very hearty appetites, enjoyed our fill and then some, for $36. We sampled 8 pâtisserie items, and after enjoying the aroma coming from the warming oven, I couldn’t wait and dove right in (we ordered takeout). Did not disappoint! I would not be able to make these treats at home for any less, I am confident in saying — not if I paid the utilities and paid myself minimum wage. Frankly, I think the claim of $60 may be a typo. The kitchen is open, which is fun. The hotel is enjoyable to poke around in, and the tables looked very inviting! I’ll be back whenever I come to Aberdeen. In fact, I will try to stay at the Alonzo hotel. I wish LaRue’s every success!...
