Schwan's Recreation — Restaurant in Aberdeen Township

Wife and I stopped there this evening to get away from the house, a very rare occasion. We tried the spicy cheese cubes which were excellent. The chicken gizzards were the best I've had in years. The chislic was also top notch. Unfortunately I can't name any of the staff but from what I saw there were 3 people working and everyone of them came to every table I could see to check on the customers very frequently and all of them were very friendly I might also add that it may not have been extremely busy but there only 4 tables empty and the seating at the bar was mostly full. Awesome food great service definitely one of the best places...

This place is one of the few "mom & pop / neighborhood bar and grill" places left. It remains one of the hallmarks of our hometown small businesses.

When I came back to visit my dad, he asked if I'd like to go out for lunch, and have the best burgers in town. Of course I thought he was mildly exaggerating. Well you guessed it, I was wrong and dad was right. "I should have listened to him more often".

That day not only did I have a great burger, but I had a great memory...

Went to this bar to play pool with friends. Everytime we needed beer we had to take our glasses or pitcher back up to get refilled. I couldn't put the blame on them being busy, because I've been here before when it was packed and didn't have a problem getting service. I will definitely be back to see if it was an off night before I throw...
