This café feels inviting and comfortable, with ample seating and a crackling fireplace—an interior design that honors its rustic heritage. The name Springboard is inspired by the actual springboards loggers used over a century ago: wooden planks with metal tips inserted into notches cut high in the tree to create a safe platform for sawyers to stand on when felling massive, flared-base trees. It’s a fitting tribute to the logging legacy embedded in the region’s history.
The coffee here is top-notch because they serve Puff Coffee Roasters out of Portland — some of the best coffee you can find anywhere. Every drink I’ve had has been perfectly crafted, with smooth espresso and rich flavor. Their pastry and food selection is excellent as well — fresh croissants, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and more. Everything in the case looks tempting and pairs perfectly with the drinks.
Springboard is more than just a coffee stop; it feels like a true community spot where you can meet up with friends, get some work done, or just relax. It’s clear the owners put thought into every detail. If you’re in the Aberdeen/Hoquiam area (or just passing through), this is a must-visit coffee shop. Between the amazing coffee from Puff Roasters, the tasty treats, and the inviting atmosphere, you won’t be...
Read moreMy daughter and I were visiting from MT on a trip to Seattle. We ventured down to Aberdeen to visit for its musical background 😉 We did a quick Google search and Springboard was first to visually appeal. This quaint little shop is right on the corner of the downtown area. I got the cinnamon toast crunch iced latte (Divine) and my daughter got a iced matcha, which she also enjoyed. We got a bear claw which was yummy and fresh. Fredi the local/regular was friendly and knowledgeable of Aberdeen, pretty comical also. You might catch him if you're lucky. The owner and barista were very kind and hospitable. It is good to see owners actually in their place and helping serve the customer. I appreciate and respect that. Please come down to this new spot you won't regret it. Parking is accessible and they have an awesome vending machine that we got that sweet book from 💖 The coffee was also delicious PUFF coffee! Local treat!! Thank you guys we wish you the best and hope to return sooner...

The coffee here is excellent (sourced from Puff coffee in Portland), I have also tried the Thai tea and iced chai, all were tasty. Lava cake--is ridiculous if you are in need of a healthy dose of chocolate. Highly recommend!
Lastly, it's so aesthetic🖤. I wish there were a couple more outlets for business get togethers, but overall win for my favorite coffee shop...
