Started going here when it opened for the first few months. The last 2 months or so the portions of the meat on the sandwich kept decreasing. Last straw for me was I ordered a roasted turkey small sub and I measured the meat with the ruler it was less than 1/4 inch. Vegetables lacking in that and the Italian as well I ordered. There was slightly more meat on the Italian but nowhere near the $10+ worth on a small sub. Mostly bread, light toppings as well. Like they’re being told to measure like Subway. Small meatball also went from having 2 meatballs on each half to just 3 total now the past 4 times I was there. One cut in half in the middle to make it look like something. These sandwiches looked like Subway. On Reddit some say they’re isn’t like this and some are. Guess it depends on how they are trained and how much food costs they are looking to save. I had high hopes here coming from New Jersey. The people are awesome the atmosphere is similar to Jersey Mikes but alas, I can no longer justify paying these prices for small portions. I sent feedback every single time I went via the surveys telling them this. Never got a response and instead of getting better it got worse. Until they lower prices or commit to correct prep and portions relative to the price point, I will not be going back. Had so much potential in the sub desert that is...
Read moreI had the Cole Turkey, it was amazing. Not plain deli meat, but real roasted turkey. The Coleslaw is fantastic, really elevated the sandwich. Their bread is better than any of the other sandwich shops in town. I am a Picky eater and this was hands down the best Sandwich Shop Sandwich I have ever had, including Which Wich, Jason's, McAlisters, Bogie's, you name it, this beat it. Everyone complaining about wait times, calm down. This is a new place in Abilene, you should realize how swamped they are! Despite that, the sandwiches were amazing! My co-workers had the Capastrami and said it was the Best Pastrami sandwich outside of New York City. And specifically to the guy who said "lies on website about having gluten free bread" I do not see anywhere on Capriotti's website or menu that they have gluten free bread. Vegetarian options yes. But Gluten Free is not the same as Vegetarian. So, can't put much stock in...
Read moreI was recommended this place by a few people so had so decided to come out of my way to try it man how disappointed when I came in to order only a couple people who already had there food so I placed my order told them no lettuce, tomato or onions at first glance the sandwich looked good then took a bite to realize there were onions I am not usually a big cold cut person but when no body else in the store there no reason not to listen or follow instructions the atmosphere was dull and the worker really seemed not interested in helping since it was my first time won’t be back usually would give another chance but if you can mess my order up with nobody inside then I don’t hold high hopes for a second chance. Learn to listen and read you had to read to get the job read to get the order done right because I wasted $28 dollars for it to go...
