Fuzzy's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Abilene

The food was freaking AWESOME!!! 😋 I was hungry and it was a little later than usual (well after 9:00 pm), so I thought I'd give it a try. Being honest, I really wasn't expecting much bc I'd heard that the margaritas at Fuzzy's were the bomb but the food was just OK, and at the time I was just fine with that. LET ME CLEAR IT UP FOR YOU AND LEAVE NO DOUBT!!!

I ordered Huevos Rancheros as my entrée with an extra egg, over easy, with a little extra Ranchero sauce. The cook (Chris), came out and asked if everything was okay 👍 and treated me like family. Now I'm an avid hot sauce enthusiast, to me the hot sauce can either make or break the dishes served and sometimes even the restaurant. Fuzzy's Original Salsa had such a good flavor to me but I love heat as well and CHRIS actually listened to me and went back to the kitchen and mixed up Salsa and sauces until he got the flavor perfect for me. (And he didn't have to !) The manager, Leah, also took a personal interest in my entire experience in Fuzzy's! An all-time favorite hot spot, with an uniquely authentic Tex-Mex type menu that as diverse as the populous,which, much like the populous, takes uniquely authentic to the brink of sheer perfection! The optional patio seating on, or overlooking the reservoir, providing an awesome view of the water fountain sets this location of the franchise apart from all other locations I’ve patronized. Not a good experience. Staff could not answer my question about the menu. Got the ingredients wrong. The beef fajitas were cooked to a crisp and there were barely any on my fajita salad. There were two big 5 inch chunks in my salad of the lettuce core that should have been trimmed and trashed. We ordered grilled vegetables added to our salad which we didn’t get with our orders. We were told the grilled vegetables contained onions peppers and squash. When they finally brought the vegetables out to us it was only onions, two tiny strips of bell peppers and nothing else. They actually only brought us one order but we ordered two. The grilled veggies for the salad arrived after we were finished eating.
