Anthony's Desserts — Restaurant in Abingdon

08/11/2022 visit Person working the counter was patient & helpful. I knew what I wanted, but a couple of my neighbors asked me to pick up sweets for them & she was able to recommend items that satisfied their requests as well. As usual, the store was impeccable & the display cases looked amazing - albeit somewhat empty at 5:15pm. My neighbors who previously didn't know about Anthony's are now customers for life. I love introducing Anthony's Desserts to others!

Always outstanding!! This is the BEST bakery for miles!! Each item has a distinct flavor. Nothing I've tried has been overly sweet. On my last visit, I purchased a coconut cream pie, a magic bar, a turtle cheesecake & tiramisu. The coconut cream pie was phenomenal! Texture & flavor were both perfect. The magic bar was tasty, but compared to the other 3 desserts, it was simple. The turtle cheesecake was delicious & had a great balance between the cheesecake, the chocolate & the caramel. The tiramisu was amazing - light & so flavorful. I'm never disappointed when I bring home desserts from this store & would highly recommend...

The display case was a feast for the eyes! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Coffee was great, too. The truffles were perfect. Nice crisp exterior with a silky smooth middle. The chocolate raspberry was one of the best I've had. It had powdered freeze-dried raspberries on the outside and was perfectly tart with the dark chocolate shell. The coffee truffle had a rich coffee flavor without any bitterness. The death by chocolate was a hit with my family as well as the cookies and cream brownie. The confection known as the Rose was an absolute masterpiece. It had a red mirror glaze over a white chocolate rose. Inside the rose was a cream filling with a raspberry core. It sat on a pastry crust full of raspberry mousse. It was so pretty that I almost felt bad eating it. It wasn't overly sweet, which can happen with white chocolate easily. The ice cream was also homemade and had a great consistency. They have seating inside and clean restrooms. We drove about an hour, and it was absolutely worth it!! This place has the most amazing desserts I've ever had in my entire life! We came here a year ago, as tourists, and had the desserts and fell in love with the place. When we came back we got a chocolate torte, eclairs and the best chocolate cream pie I've ever had! I have tried chocolate cream pies from all over the country and I have never had any that even could compare to Anthony's. The eclairs have a perfect light sweetened taste with the perfect consistency of the pastry. With the chocolate torte, the moment you bit into it you instantly had a giant blast of flavor. It is so sweet and perfectly rich, giving the taster the best flavored torte ever. The ingredients are clearly amazing quality and the cost for what you get is an amazing deal! The service is really great and the atmosphere is cute and cozy. I can't wait to come back here and order another pie! This is a once in a taste time experience, every person within one hundred miles should be required to taste these...
