I had over all a really good experience. My food was great, I got a 4 meat sampler with brisket, ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and shredded pork and it was great. The sides I had were cold corn salad which was great and cowboy beans which wernt my favorite but not bad. My partner had the fried chicken plate and we both agree it was underwhelming especially for the price, $25. They also got fries which were good and a side salad that was a very good size and mixed greens and toppings. Their fried chicken was over done, under seasoned and an odd assortment. They got a leg, wing and a boneless piece I guess I would call a tender? My meat plate is a little over 2 dollars more expensive and far more impressive. We also got the cornfritters which were very good. The bbq sauces i tried, house sauce, berryQ, and carolina style were really good. Their house bbq leans toward the vinegar side and the berryQ was definitely my favorite. The service was fantastic. Our server was so sweet and attentive. He was well informed on the menu and was able to give recommendations. The biggest complaint I had (my partners was their food) was the decore. The untreated pallet wood that was featured heavily seemed like an insult to the rich dark wood of the historic location. There were some aspects that spoke to a casual vibe and some to an upscale vibe, creating the impression that this restaurant was still trying to figure out what they wanted to be. The restaurant was clean and had 2 additional bar spaces in the works.

I’m a BBQ snob and I can’t help it. I get it honest but my review is based with consideration to all the factors of operation with an understanding for business and bbq in particular. Given the length of time this place has been open there have been some major obstacles overcame but still room for improvement. The potential here is astronomical with real possibility to be a huge hotspot for the area. The menu was priced as expected but food wasn’t what we had hoped for. Going to try again and see if what we anticipate for change happens but did feel it was lacking. The current staff we interacted with will absolutely carry this place. Very pleasant, personal, and caring. Diane waited on us and couldn’t have done a better job. The smoores desert was hands down the best dish of this visit. We came wishing to have pulled pork but there was none. The food quality is most important over building an atmosphere but this place can most definitely could be a future contender to be a leader in the bbq hotspots overall locally. As a bbq snob I look forward to seeing this continue to develop. Give them a try:)

Yikes, where to begin? We sat at the bar, this afternoon (that is where we usually prefer at any restaurant). Bartender was interesting- she made clear that she is not a local and is here on a “treasure hunt” and expressed how she can’t wait to get back to Colorado. She complained about her hours of working the entire time to her grandparents that were sitting next to us. The bartender brought us 1 menu for 2 of us to share, then noticed that we needed 2. They have NO BEERS on tap, and the bourbon selection is Jim Bean or Crown Royal. (They do have a back bar, we did not visit) Food was delicious! We had the onion rings (which we had to argue with the bartender for the “tangy ranch” listed on the menu- she said they recently discontinued it). Chef came out, greeted us - very kind! Food was delicious! But, there is NO BBQ sauce! We packed our order to go so we could add sauce at home. Mac & Cheese is the best I’ve ever had, burnt ends were the most tender! To sum it up, just hire a local bartender. Not somebody who wants to read a book about treasure hunting and could care less about the locals!

Went with a group of 7 people over the weekend. We all ordered a bunch of different entrees and three different appetizers, as we had never been there before, and wanted to try a bunch of different things. The restaurant was clean, our server nice. We had to ask for silverware, and we had to wait a LONG time for the food. There was live music that was blaringly loud, distractingly so. For appetizers, we ordered corn fritters, onion basket, and fried pickle fries. Those were ok. Only the corn fritters stood out as really good. The onion rings and pickle fries were about on par with a fast food restaurant (think Sonic) but far more expensive. From the main courses, we ordered pulled pork, smoked pulled chicken, and the beef brisket and we ordered boss mac and cheese as well. What can I say, TINY side portions, but the sides were pretty good, especially the spicy collard greens. (They are extremely spicy which is to my taste, but one of my friends hated them because they were so spicy) The meats, all three, were DRY and Flavorless. Thank goodness we asked for a sample of all their sauces, because it rescued the meat. A BBQ place should have meat that can stand alone without any sauce at all. One shouldn't go to a place that literally has brisket in the restaurant name and the best thing there is a side. Oh, and the boss mac n cheese? For $16, the portion size was horrific. Not much noodles, and a golf ball size portion of pulled meat and onion straws. Noodles are cheap. No exuse to skimp on the noodles in a dish like that. Our main courses were supposed to come with corn bread, which we had to ask for. 1 TINY dry muffin each is what we got. It was so dry, that I dipped mine in BBQ sauce to choke it down. We also had to wait a LONG time for our check. The whole experience took 2 hours, and most of it was without food. Ultimately, this place was a let down. I don't know if any of our group will be back. Looking at the other reviews, ours was not an isolated event. Wanted to add, we had never eaten at the previous restaurant, so we are not comparing it. Brisket N' Bourbon earned this bad review all on their own. Hopefully, they will fix...

Absolutely awful. Would not go back if you payed me to. Let me explain, 3 of us showed up around 6ish, zero people is in the place at this time. We ordered our food after getting told there were out of most things. We waited over 2 hours for our food just to be wrong, the food itself wasn’t bad, it was actually decent and the guy waiting on us aka the “owner” was nice until he wasn’t. We waited over 20min just to see him and ask for the bill, by this time we are all ready to leave because we had a long drive home. It took him 30min to bring the bills, just to be wrong. We all order the same thing and all bills were significantly different…. Like how. So I ask nicely hey could you fix the bills and he was like yeaaa I figured there would be problems and drawed a loud breath at us then proceeded to slam the bills down at there register. The proceeded to bring the bills back, we all agreed on the tip that he deserved after the way we were treated. We left then had to come back for a friends phone, this is where things go wrong. He didn’t want to open the door to give us the phone back even though they are open he locked the door. Then proceeded to slam the tip we left in the window cussing at us. Opens the door and hands the phone back then goes off about the tip and cusses us and told us we are not welcome back and told us to not come back at all. Even though we were respectfully the whole time and that’s how we were treated because of the tip… not how a owner of a business is supposed to act. I can’t wait for the day this place shuts down, look at the reviews this place...
