Where do I start, poor lack of management and "could care less" employees... The first time I got food from this place was through uber eats. A while later I tried to order again (because it was the only BBQ delivery with decent ratings nearby) it said the place was closed so I called the store to confirm, apparently they just had it turned off. So, later on I go in to pick up some food to go, this time I ordered 2 1 meat plates one with sausage, okra and Mac and cheese; the other with ribs, potato salad and beans. When I got to the store I stood at the counter waiting to be greeted. One girl was standing by the kitchen door on her phone, didn't even notice me... or maybe she didn't care. Finally another girl comes out the side and asks to take my order. I told her I was there to pick up, then I noticed she looked like she had been crying, her face and eyes were red and her eyes were glossy. I asked her if she was okay and she pretended not to hear me and turned around to look for my food. There were two guys that I could see from the kitchen window, neither of them was wearing gloves when they handed the food through the window, one of them even had a nose piercing ((both are health code violations) I myself work in a resturant). I then paid for my food and drove 4 miles home. When I got home, the ribs were literally cold to the bone, the mac and cheese was soupy and tasteless and the baked beans were mushed out. The only thing good about the food I received was the potato salad, sadly the sausage was way too salty (I had to wipe it off with a napkin). I called the "resturant" and asked for a manager, I was told there wasn't one there, so I asked when they'd be back and she said MAYBE tomorrow but shes not sure. What kind of business doesn't have a manager during operating hours?! Who sells the alcohol?! Better not be those underage girls (it is ILLEGAL for minors to handle/sell alcohol in GA and in Cobb County servers need a permit from the police dept.). They leave their "business" to be run by teenage girls and careless kitchen staff. I'm not sure what's really going on in this establishment but girls shouldn't be crying, kitchen staff should be in code and management should be present! Bar-b-cutie get your stuff together,...
Read moreI placed a take out order for 4 pints of brunswick stew, 3 pints of green beans, 2 pints of coleslaw, & a loaf of bbq toast. My family, consisting of 5 households, have been eating at this location for 20 years or so. When my sister brought the order home, 2 of the stew lids were heavily cracked & another had come completely off. Much of the stew had dumped out in the bag & also all over half of the bread. The bag did not fall over in the car. These insufficient lids have cracked or come off on us before. I called & spoke to the manager, Jeremy. He was unbelievably combative & rude from the start, yelling & interrupting me, stating they had no control over the order once we picked it up. Clearly, he is not of manager quality. I simply wanted him to know that those lids are inadequate & part of our food had dumped out everywhere. He hung up on me. I called back & asked for the owner's names. I also explained that he should not treat his paying customers this was as we are all directly funding his paycheck. He disputed that, stating "Barbcutie pays me!" Mercy. I guess he has no clue that without paying customers, there are no funds to issue paychecks to anyone at all including the owners. As a retired business owner, I can't imagine any of my staff treating customers this way or displaying this depth of ignorance. My sister & I are both seniors. I am disabled. We live together. I have copious health issues & just had my 3rd heart surgery a month ago. We lost our mother last March after a traumatic 5 year battle with a TBI from a car accident. We just wanted to have our family tradition dinner for New Year's day, a day late. This incident ruined it, & this manager Jeremy should never be a manager anywhere. We will not be spending our money there...
Read moreCame in for first visit on Thursday March 16th around 2pm. It's a walk up service where you take a number and then your food is brought out, but there is no regular table service. The counter lady was nice and professional. The place was pretty clean. The tea was excellent. I ordered the brisket plate with potato salad, fried okra and toasted bread.
The brisket plate was almost $19, and the brisket itself was great, perfectly cooked and plentiful. The fried okra was fresh, crunchy and not overly greasy, and also a large order. I did not like the potato salad because it was a mayo and sour cream based recipe and I like potato salad with mustard and mayo, so it wasn't bad for probably most people but I didn't like it (I didn't base my food review on the potato salad because most people will probably be ok with it). I also had the fried pickles as an appetizer and I really liked them. Not too greasy and the pickles were very fresh, had a nice tang to them, great overall flavor and crunch. My buddy had the turkey sandwich and really liked it (photo attached). It was actually carved turkey!
As a side note they had a new cook in the back, the guy was wearing sunglasses...not a good "look" for customers to see when visiting.
Prices were fair, food was good, parking is ample, location is good, service is nil because there is none, place was clean, staff was not the most professional but they didn't do anything wrong, they just didn't seem to want to be there.
I may return if I'm in the area but I'm not making a special trip...
