Hubert Park — Attraction in Georgia

It can be a little hard to find. The driveway is past the Target and just before the Discount Tires. The facilities are great! The fields are level and surfaced with astro turf. There is shade from the tree line on one side, but the fields are otherwise pretty exposed. There is plenty of parking and a decent number of spots get shade from nearby trees. The drive into the parking lot has a lot of speed bumps, which do a good job of slowing down cars. Nice little playground for the kids, I love being able to look down on the soccer fields to watch practice and games.

However, there needs to be a restroom to the playground itself. The one that is there is in the middle of the soccer fields and you have to go downstairs, then across the walkway between the fields to get to it. This puts you in range of stray soccer balls and my 5 yr old was almost hit by one while she and my wife where walking to the building. This brings up issues for safety...

Solid field. Good turf. They need to incorporate some awnings (or covers) for player protection. The heat of the turf is legit. Adds an extra 10-15 degrees on hot days to the temperature. I bring my dog (when the temperature is appropriate) and leave him off the fields. I’m glad there aren’t signs everywhere saying no dogs allowed. I’m respectful enough to know not to let my dog pee or poop on the fields. Good...
