The Marble Slab Creamery reminds me of one of those shops that belong in the Brookstone or Seven Hills area. It is an expensive shop just for homemade ice cream and fresh cookies from Great American Cookie. I decided to try this place to see what is new in the neighborhood of Acworth. I walked inside, seeing a cute decor with everything looking clean. I soon took a look at the menu to see what the price range is. Most items range from $2 to $15. The worker who greeted me was named Brandi. She was nice but didn't try to sell me anything. Most stores recommend certain things they like, but it felt like she wanted me to leave. I decided to try the Cookie Sundae with the ice cream flavor of Coffee with a Snickerdoodle. I proceeded to check out, and she told me about the spoons. They were these rubber spoons in a small bin with the logo in it. I saw there were a few chocolate spots on it. In Menchies, they have spoons made for ice cream/ frozen yogurt. It just felt like a cheap product when I tried to get my ice cream out of the cup. I checked out everything went fine even though I didn't get my points. Brandi could not find my number in the system. She might have put the wrong number after asking me over and over to repeat my phone number. The ice cream was very satisfactory, with the cookie being moist and soft. It was good ice cream but not for $7.
Overall, my rating is 3 out of 5 because of customer service and prices. I will come back in six months to see if it's improved in any way. I would not recommend parents with 2+ kids or people looking for a lower price for ice cream. I hope this helps you out with...
Read moreVery disappointed in this location. First experience ordered decorated cookies in store for an engagement, 5 days prior to needing. Got there to pick up and order had not been processed. Was going to be 2 hours before they could have ready. Ended up not being ready for our celebration. They only gave me a 50% refund. Thought we would try them out again(second chance). My kids ordered a large Birthday cookie for a friend. Son went to pick up and looked like a 4 year old wrote on the cookie. Called the store spoke to a young person(not sure if it was a male or female as their voice was kind of hard to understand). Explained the cookie and was told they did not have a cookie decorator in the store. Why would you take an order of you don’t have a decorator???? Or at least call and let us know. So the young person said they could just do a cookie with multi color balls. So this was better than what we had. Was told to come back to store in 30 minutes. Go back to the store with other cookie in hand. No one had any idea what we were talking about. A very sweet young lady, Kylie, came and looked at the cookie and said the person we talked to left.(ridiculous that an employee would leave his/her fellow employees hanging like that)She then said she could try to do what we had requested. Kylie saved the day and the writing on the cookie looked fantastic. Thank you to Kylie. This is the only positive experience we have had with...
Read moreIt's been a long time since visiting Marble Slab, stopped for a last day of school treat. 2 of the 3 menu boards were not functional, so - price roulette. The ice cream freezer has 24 listed flavors, but only about 9 flavors present. Most looked a little melty, but my child still found something she wanted. They didn't have many mix ins, the ones we initially asked for were out. Once we made selections, a quasi milkshake/ice cream soup was presented, with toppings not mixed in.
Something is wrong in this location - the freezer is broken? The menu is broken?
If you don't have the menu screens working - have printed menus, like the old days. If you can't keep ice cream frozen to a consistency that holds a shape, you just need to not serve ice cream...
The ice cream soup was enjoyed by my kid, but nobody else in my party wanted to try it.
At the end, price roulette, our 1 small (soup) cost $8. Can get 2x more ice cream for that price from nearly anywhere else with just a few minutes of driving on Cobb Parkway.
We won't be back, don't recommend unless some major changes are made. Should have read reviews, seems like all the 2022 reviews are 1 star.
Not a premium product/experience for the...
