This place was so unexpectedly good, we came back the next day! Everything from the hostesses, to the waitress (Gloria is her name, I believe), to the managers, and of course, the food - establishment lived up to the acclaim.
Came to visit my parent's for Thanksgiving weekend from STL, and came across this place through Google Reviews. The reviews were glowing, so we decided here. Noticed that the inside was energetic and inviting, so was off to a good start. Waitress came immediately after seating with our drink orders, but gave us enough time to look at the menu. When the food arrived, I was in for a surprise with the quality. Fresh fruits/ingredients and seasonings-a-plenty.
Of what we ordered the two days, the standouts were the Belgian Waffle (Crisp outer crust with pillowy inside, adorned with fresh fruit), the Breakfast potatoes (Ask for "well done"; crispy and seasoned to perfection), and the Berry Berry Crepes (decadent cream cheese filling with fresh fruit). The only thing I didn't care for was the Bread Pudding special; it was a little too "eggy" and tough for my liking, but the poached eggs and the bacon sides made up for it. The managers came to check up on us throughout and showed me that they take pride in their customers satisfaction. Ended the meal with very great service from the hostesses who asked about experience and cashed out the bill.
All-in-all, Brunch Café is a superb place for breakfast/brunch in the suburbs. Will definitely come back when I visit due to their substantial food...
Read moreUnbelievable experience where the quality of food is only matched by the quality of service. I asked a local where a good place for breakfast was and this is where they recommended. I sure am glad they did!
Couldn't decide if I wanted to go sweet or savory, so I ordered both the Berry Berry Crepe and the Butchershop Omelette. Holy smokes!
The crepe was large and beautiful, and stuffed with all kinds of deliciousness. Good flavor and texture. The berries were super fresh and I felt like it came out of a Michelin star restaurant.
The butcher shop omelette had ham sausage and bacon and was huge. The brunch potatoes were cooked to perfection with a nice crisp outside and soft inside and good seasoning.
I had Louisa as my server and she was amazing. Quick, polite, and anticipatory (not sure if that's a real word, but it certainly described her). My coffee cup never made it below 2/3 full and she brought me a water without asking mid way through "just in case."
Coffee was pretty good. I'm not a dark roast kind of guy, but I think that if I was it would have been perfect. It was just a little darker and bold than I prefer. Still, didn't stop me from drinking three cups and getting a cup to go, if that says...
Read moreFANTASTIC! Nearly insane! Care to have a Brunch cocktail at 7am? Go ahead! Care to have poached eggs with Hollandaise at 1pm? Go ahead! From Smoked salmon with capers to huge hamburgers and FRESH potato chips it's here! But is it good? Yes! Every dish came out better than expected. The ingredients were very fresh. My omelette was a bit under salted but thats a good thing. I can add salt if I want but you can never subtract it. The service was above average. Exceptional actually. The prices are on par with other breakfast restaurants. The ambiance is bright, modern, cheerful upscale. What you want a Brunch atmosphere to be. I'm glad I gave it a try because I was afraid of high prices with average food and small...
