I am visiting from out of town with my family and came to this IHOP location. Besides, of course, the food being clean & good- let me say that customer service is the most important thing to me.
we sat down, placed our order & immediately confirmed a discount/coupon that we wanted to use with the order. The waitress looked at what we wanted and said that yes we can use it. $5 off $25 or more, easy Peezy right. The ticket did not even come to a total of $25, so the waitress was nice enough to add on some more charges and make it $25. so here we go.
Come to find out, the discount was only for online orders only. Even after I had downloaded the app to my phone per the waitresses instructions and everything. So the cashier reached out to the manager so that she can help out with the situation. Thatâs what managers are âsupposeâ to do. Not this manager, this manager stood with me for over 10 minutes saying that she was not going to argue, but was trying to argue me down, that it was OK for her not to try to make us happy in this situation. Because of the way she handled the situation and approached me, made the minor $5 dollars an issue for me.
Hereâs where it gets real interesting, when I called her the manager she says to me, no Iâm not the manager, I am actually the owner. Are you serious! You being the owner of this restaurant made this so much worse for me.
She did not want me to say anything in front of any of the other customers, but that was not going to happen. The only question I wanted her to answer to me was that she did not care if we were happy customers or not and was not willing to do anything about our situation. She turned to me and said yes that is correct.
This is, or definitely was the IHOP location that was preferred by my family and where we they visit often.
Over five dollars, or less, because she could have been like because of her inconvenience I can do the five dollars, but I can do 10%, 20%, off your bill for your inconvenience.
It all boils down to the principle of the matter. And thatâs it. If I was the owner of any restaurant or business of any kind, my customers being happy is my number one priority.
She was the...
Read moreâźď¸ RACISTâźď¸ My friends, family, and I came in with a party of 8. We arrived at 11:23pm. We were sat and given menus. It took our waitress 12 minutes to take our order for drinks and water was requested as well. At approximately 11:47pm we flagged down a waitress by the name of Emily and asked her to find our waitress so that we can have the status of the wait for our drinks because we had been waiting so long. She was really sweet and apologetic. When we addressed our waitress her tone was completely flat and she appeared as if she did NOT care! She served 3 other tables that was there after us. Not only did they get drinks but they had their food, while we were struggling to get a glass of water. Emily did bring our table water, but We requested the manager and her attitude was just as nonchalant. We explained to her that we had been waiting for a very long time to be waited on and her response was just as unapologetic as the waitress. At that point I knew my family and I was not wanted there the moment that we walked in. It is so unfortunate because the entire table of COLOREDS were very hard workers and VERY GENEROUS with our money. Unfortunately you all still have segregated mindsets and you all should be ashamed. Letâs just all face it... black people exist and we are not going anywhere. We are not all ignorant, loud, or cheap like you all are programmed to believe. Itâs ridiculous and we would rather spend our hard earned money with a company who welcomes us warmly and openly. Shame on you all. Emily, if you can see this... thank you and itâs people like you where I feel that there is hope for us. Please continue to make a difference and do whatâs right even if youâre alone... and you were alone last night. You are appreciated and unfortunately I will never be able to thank you face to face because I will never return to...
Read moreThis was the worst experience we have ever had. Every year, during Ramadan we come for our pre-dawn meal and the manager (no matter how busy it was) guaranteed our food before we had to start our fast. For some reason today we had to wait over an HOUR for our food. we had explained to the staff we have to be done eating before a certain time and they brought only half of our tables food 10 minutes before we had to start our fast. After we waited 5 minutes and shared the food amongst ourself, we asked our server to cancel the rest since we simply will not have time for it. Instead she argued and made the point that the other half ordered later and thatâs why the food wasnât ready (they had ordered Max 10 minutes after the Original order, but it still shouldnât have taken over an hour) instead of cancelling it she had threw the food on our table with giving us only 3 minutes to eat our meals, which we couldnât finish. Funniest part of this all was our food was incorrect, sloppy & COLD. When one of the elders went to go pay and explain how it wouldnât be fair to pay for food we tried canceling, the manger argued with us & made the comment saying âwe just donât understandâ. We are appalled with how the treatment was with us since we went to eat since we were not going to be eating for 18 hours. Normally the service is great, but today was horrible and unfortunately no one from our group probably will not...
