I don't usually do reviews because many times they are a bit extreme and I believe every persons experience is different and should not make up the general consensus of a location. This location in Addison is clean and well kept and the staff for the most part are nice. However I have to tell you that the online ordering experience and plan ahead pickup as well as the cooks actually reading and understanding what the order requires needs a ton of improvements. I would say that 7 out of 10 times I place an order online for pickup, something is wrong and its not a small error. Today I place an order for a breakfast sandwich. Its scrambled eggs and sausage on a bun. Cannot get any easier than that. I get to work and I have bacon and soft egg and it looks like the egg exploded in the carrier. The ticket itself in large letters says sausage and scrambled egg. Also they were out of coffee. Not one dispenser but all three and it was only 9:30. I have catered from here for my office and I have also ordered lunch and almost every time its wrong or something is missing. I keep going back because it conveniently located a block from my office but for the love of God please function properly. I called the store several times for various complaints. There is an option to reach the Manager. Yeah good luck. They are probably handling multiple other calls for the errors. It rings a dozen times then goes to busy signal. Not once have I ever gotten through the manager. If you go there, ask to stand over the "cooks" so you can be sure you get what you order and call ahead to make sure there is coffee during the...
Read moreDon't bother calling here for catering, call a different location or spend your money elsewhere! I had to place a catering order for work today for a very important business meeting. When I called in, I was asked to be put on hold. I said sure. I was not put on hold, but the phone was just set down on the counter! For the next 15 minutes, I listened to someone take orders. In their defense, from what I could hear it seemed like this poor girl was the only one taking orders and she was struggling to keep people happy. I also heard her tell someone they had no drivers and they'd have to come pick up their order, so I'm sure she was answering a different online order. Eventually I hung up and called back, figuring, I had been forgotten about. No big deal, I understand people get busy. As I called back, the call was answered and hung up within 1 second. I was not even greeted. If they were busy, I would have just appreciated them telling me to call a different location. Luckily, I was able to call their Glen Ellyn location and they were able to make an exception to deliver to my office in Addison, given my experience. Glen Ellyn was able to get a $200 order from my company. It's too bad this panera location couldn't even bother to provide basic customer service to me. At the end of the day this location, must be extremely to understaffed as they seemed to be unable to handle orders in person in their restaurant. Management must really be lacking if their not even going to answer their phones...
Read moreDespite other reviews, I'm going to complement the staff. The tables and floors were clean. Bathrooms were in shape. The staff was polite and my order was correct.
My gripes with the restaurant really extend to the corporate level. My girlfriend and I were both sick and at home from work. I was too weak to stand around the stove and cook so I decided to go to Panera to get a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches and some tomato soup. Classic get better food, right? I ordered and ended up paying $26 and some change. This is for two slices of bread, four slices of American cheese and two bowls of soup that tasted like tomato paste with water and Parmesan cheese. Also if you are a health or ingredient conscious individual know that you must look for the "ALL NATURAL" label if you want to avoid artificial ingredients like flavor enhancers, preservatives and chemical leavening agents. Despite their wholesome image, you must still be careful with their menu if you want to eat additive free. Also, their all natural label does not refer to GMOs. I will not be eating at any Panera bread ever again due to their high cost and low payoff. I should have stayed home. I could have made our meals for less than $4 in less than fifteen minutes with more wholesome ingredients and it would...
