D J's Taco Express — Restaurant in Addison

I love DJ's Taco Express. I've been eating there for over 15 years. The owner is always super nice, and asks how my coworkers are whenever I go in. Maybe the previous reviewers just caught him on a bad day.

He is always willing to make more healthy versions of dishes for me like swapping corn tortillas for chips or making off menu veggie fajitas. If you want to know what's really good and healthy ask him about his favorite dishes.

I love the salmon tacos, carnitas tacos, tortilla soup, and fajitas. The breakfast tacos are great too. Just make sure to get there early in the morning, before they sell out of your favorite variety.

All of the portions are huge, so you definitely get your money's worth. Especially if you order a burrito. He does charge extra for Jalapenos but he give you an ample portion for the price. If you haven't tried DJ's what are you waiting for?

Personally all of you that are not going to try DJs because of the few people that apparently do not know what authentic Mexican food should taste like, YEA! That means I dont have to wait on you to try and decide what you want when all you have to do is close your eyes and pick- it is all fabulous! I get mine faster and dont have to worry if I will get a seat as it is normally packed full all day! And considering I only have about two min for lunch and breakfast, I wont be late! So yes PLEASE hate DJs- more for me and faster to the table! I would kidnap him and take him home if I could get this fed to me daily! DJ's makes the best fish tacos I think possibly in the world. I've eaten many a fish taco, in many different cities and states all over this country, and have never had better.

They've been in continuous business at the same location since I think the late 80s, which should tell you all you need to know about the quality of their food and service.

The owner is the nicest guy in the restaurant biz and he never forgets a face. He will welcome you back, to breakfast or lunch, like a long-lost friend every time you visit.

The price is right, the food is fantastic, and there only a couple miles from the Tollway.
