My husband and I were married on 11/17/19. Yeli provided chocolate wedding favors for our 230 guests that were so beautiful you didn't want to eat them but so temptingly delicious you couldn't resist. We cannot count how many compliments we received about her chocolate favors and they will go down as one of the highlights of our reception. While we like chocolate, we absolutely love Yeli. She is more than just a talented artist and chocolatier, she is an amazing person. In January, when we started this journey of planning our wedding we were turned away on our first weekend of touring venues because we were a same sex couple and the owner of the venue told us that we were not part of God's plan for marriage. It was heartbreaking. We shared our story and pressed pause on our plans, unsure if we were up to the challenge of planning a wedding in Texas as a gay couple. We were not prepared to come out to every one of our vendors and hope that they would accept us. One of the many vendors that heard our story and jumped to our defense was Yeli at Yelibelly Chocolates. She was so upset with how we had been treated that she wanted to do something to make things right for us. She offered to provide wedding favors for all of our 230 guests free of charge. We were blown away! She didn't have to do this, her chocolate is so yummy it sells itself, but she wanted to do it to show that she is committed to equality and understands that everyone deserves love. It's one thing to say that you are LGBT friendly, its another to offer up your time, talents and money out of the goodness of your heart. Yeli is the real deal. Exceeded my expectations. I have gone to Yelibelly chocolates for personal and business needs and my expectations were exceeded in both cases. The store is airy and comfortable with plenty of seating to sit and savor one of the many yummy items from their magical menagerie of delicious treats. Their work is not only artful, but absolutely delicious. You taste real ingredients - words simply can't express how flavorful their confections are. On the business end, they produced fresh and delicious chocolate covered Oreo favors for my music company and they came out perfect.
