Searching for your next hidden gem? Check out Macho Taco. It is tucked away in an unassuming plaza with plenty of parking and easy access.

As you enter the restaurant, you will see about 12 tables for dining and a large counter area for customers to order and the employees to work. You will likely see only one employee the entire time you are there, but don't let that deter you. They are on top of their game and efficient with their service.

The food is by far the best Mexican you will ever have. It is better than all of their competition, both local and franchise. The ingredients are fresh, flavorful, and always cooked to serve. This is not a fast food restaurant. Their mild salsa is very mild with the slightest bite that dissipates quickly. If you like a salsa with bite, be sure to ask for a hotter salsa. Their prices are higher than competition, but trust me when I say you get the quality you pay for.

If you are coming with a big appetite, be sure to order a little extra. The portions are average sized to smaller than competition. But, this makes sense. To put such high quality at the quantities of competition, prices would have to be higher.

Macho Taco has the most delicious Mexican food I’ve tasted! Last night I ordered Flautas which are pan-fried rolled tacos filled with Tinga (chipotle seasoned shredded chicken). They were delicious and the presentation was beautiful as you can see from the photo. My husband loved the Chilles Rellenos he ordered; his comment was “why have I waited so long to try this?”

Last night our server was Caylin. She was attentive and friendly making sure we had everything we needed. But that’s true for all their staff like Meghan and Evelyn who are also very personable and helpful. After only a couple of visits Meghan remembered how we like our nachos - with chicken, chorizo, and street corn added.

The food is always flavorful, the prices are reasonable, and the service is outstanding. Their salsa is made every day and the fresh cilantro gives it a unique flavor. We also love the House Burrito which is such a good sized portion that I usually make two meals out of it. There is a wide selection of beers and margaritas available and they also have wine.

The food here is always on point! I eat from here about 4 times a week! My fave meal is the Carne asada taco meal and I ALWAYS get a piece of tres leches cake, however, the last time I got one it was a bit spoiled and made me sick. If you know the cake you know it is soaked in 3 different kinds of milks so you have to be careful. My most recent visit there I went up to order my cake and asked if I could pick my own slice and was told I could not because they have to give you the "oldest" ones!? That didn't sit well with me given my previous experience. I proceed to ask her how old exactly and she began to get noticeably frustrated. She replied "they're good hunny" to which I replied "ok but how old" and she finally Says "about 2 days old". At this point my craving was gone. I couldn't believe she wouldn't just let me pick my own piece that I was about to pay $6+ for so I told her nevermind thank you and left.
