Located in the lower plaza, near Dollar General, in Agawam Ma,( Across from Walgreens on Springfield St), is The Still Bar & Grill. With a corner Entrance, easy Handicap Friendly wide double doors, you are greeted by an inviting open floor plan. As well as bar seating as big as I believe I have ever seen, are very accommodating seating choices. From booths with (I'm 6' 266) ample ROOM, to unique elevated tables with a bench style seat, as well as pub chairs. The massive island splitting the enormous restaurant, has accent lighting behind the countless bottles of all types of Alcohol. Beer? You betcha, on tap choices are literally endless, and of coarse any standard bottled/canned selection 'I could think of'. So, with a horseshoe bar seating, I guess 40+ , people total, and excellant FAST, Service, your enjoyment is priority. I've yet to visit any restaurant that is always perfect, and on a night packed to limit, with live music or entertainment, the ability to be zipping drinks, and filling food orders has hiccups, but I've dined there a dozen times, it's well within tolerance! Enjoy WELL padded extra high PUB chairs sitting at the bar, or choose from both tables and very eclectic/cool high back bench seating left of the bar, with tables, easily accommodating 4, or 8,12, with a quick table slide. You won't be eating their #1 recommend appetizer/dinner Wings, trying to flag a glass of water, staff is very SHARP. .The food portions are bigger than most, compared to any place I eat, with same quality, & equal portions, off the loaded menu, prices are very much in line. I wouldn't say budget, but there's a mile of difference between a real quality cut of beef, cooked properly, and a frozen bulk bought steak. For $3-5 'maybe' difference, often lower in my opinion. So I suggest the wings, (I eat as a meal w/ a salad maybe), freshly infused with either buffalo of coarse, or {I highly Recommend} their Thai seasoning! Kids, or just want plain, they got you! My wife loves their Chicken Francaise, w/ a bed of pasta{cooked properly, Al dente *But Ask- they accommodate any need, if possible!! Personally I’ve had at least 12+ full meals and have yet to be disappointed. NOTE; As a professional I try to offer detailed, objective reviews. There are 100 people in line waiting to leave 18 page 2 star reviews on anything! I am a top contributer on Google, Amazon, Search, and Business( photography / filmmaking), I have chosen to be To be known as a 4-5 star contributor, I leave reviews to help navigate a single bad experience + a bad establishment, but it's obvious my passion is to describe quality food and service! That said, with gorgeous appetizers, ( of which I’ve had a couple as meals, don’t worry about portions/variety- ), and {'big take’ hearty portions,} entrees, from Specialty salads, pastas and combos, a variety of choices, for Non meat eaters,( I don't want state improperly), but YES;, a variety of meat free meals, for many palates. Atmosphere is never too loud, granted it's a large establishment, and even if there is entertainment, seating near rear is easily far enough away. Menus don't require glasses in my case, and Staff are ready to tell you about any dish you like. This is absolutely based on comparative and reasonably equal in every way, to other possible establishments, I offer a full 5 star rating. If you arrive at the peak dinner timing prepare to wait, and I will add, if you prefer soft violins, and whispering this might not be a first choice. If youyre looking for true Quality prepared, expertly seasoned, fresh meats, fish, vegetables, with 100's of Drink options, incredibly gracious staff, and not bumping into people on a bathroom trip or two, The Still bar & grill, AGAWAM Ma, is your HOMERUN! Feel like your hometown Pub, service and food, like shirt and tie required. Photos are redundant, I believe some are from my Corporate review already! #Lifegiant~...
Read moreI talked my husband into trying a “new” place the other day for dinner. We arrived and sat at the bar. The first thing I noticed were how many wait staff were there. That to me was a good sign. That , to me meant the place was very busy. Well, we sat at the bar...and waited....and waited....and waited to be asked if we wanted a drink. I would say....12 to 15 minutes. All the time we waited we noticed many of the wait staff gathered down from where we were seated just having a grand old time chatting and laughing . Finally one of them turned around and saw us still sitting and came over. We ordered drinks got the menu and the rest is something I probably should not bother saying. Before writing this I did read the other revues....most were positive.i did not come close to anything positive. The place was not busy...one table with elderly ladies....and maybe 10 to 12 people scattered around. It was not 5:00 yet so that I understood. We ordered our food after one more round of drinks...that is WHY I am taking the time to write this. The food was, let me try to be kind, disgusting.:my husband had steak tips...to say tough would be kind...he would eat anything served to him and NEVER complain...he could not eat most of them. I had the Cod...it’s description sounded good....it was the worst thing I ever ate. It was not cooked enough....kind of slimy in texture...and I NEVER complain either.....but not this time.we did not say a word to the waitress...paid our check...and will NEVER go back. The poor kid next to us had stuffed mushrooms and sent them back...they were ice cold. How a place like this gets great revues is beyond me....good luck folks....I would not recommend to my worst enemy....too bad there is not a...
Read moreI have been coming to the Still for many years. Even before they moved to the strip mall where they are now. I have always had great times there, and it quickly became me and my fiance's favorite bar. So much so that we decided we wanted to have our wedding reception there this year. We wanted a laid back, fun atmosphere for our friends and family to enjoy, and even more importantly, The Still meant a lot to the both of us. This made it the perfect place for us to celebrate our big day. We began to inquire about it roughly 3-4 months ago. As of last week, we still hadn't heard back from anyone. Now mind you, we are there every weekend. We have asked repeatedly if we could set up an appointment with the owner, and we were told each and every time "yes, of course, we will have her call you." We have left our numbers several times, and still no one has called us. Last weekend we came in for our usual Friday night drinks, the owner was actually there and came up to us and said "Give me a few minutes and we'll talk." She proceeded to sneak out of the bar and away from us, thinking we didn't notice. My fiance and I were broken hearted and extremely upset. After over 6 years of patronage, this is how we were being treated. It didn't make any sense to us. Needless to say, The Still has lost us as customers forever. As much as it hurts us to leave the place that we fell in love at, have celebrated birthdays at, and enjoyed hundreds of great nights at, we can't with good conscience continue to visit a place who has little value for it's most loyal customers. We will be looking for a new bar, if anyone has any suggestions, please let us...
