We had been to this place before and we were very pleased with our service, our food and the atmosphere in the restaurant. During our latest visit, the food was still outstanding and the service was still great. However, the accommodations were not so pleasant. We We're seated in a booth by the front wall of the restaurant. We went here for our daughter's birthday at her request. She enjoyed her visit there the previous year so much that she begged us to go back. She got chicken pasta Alfredo dish which was again outstanding. I got the special, steak tips over penne which was also outstanding. My wife got the shrimp scampi special with asparagus and ham. It looked spectacular. But after my wife put parmesan cheese on her meal, my daughter noticed that there was an ant crawling on the lemon on her dish. Our waitress, upon being told this, did what was expected. She removed the plate and return with the new plate. While she was getting the new meal, our daughter noticed that there was an ant crawling on my wife's arm. She swatted the ant off and we figured that there were just a couple of ants that were inside the parmesan cheese container. Disturbing, but not revolting enough to make us want to leave. When they came back with the new meal, we we're enjoying our respective meals until our daughter gasped and jumped in her seat. She'd noticed a family of ants crawling on the edge of the table. With much abound we gathered our meals and other things and moved to a table away from the front wall where we had been sitting. The wait staff was very understanding the immediately cleared off that table wiped it down and at least while we were there did not sit anyone at that table. As an apology, the restaurant gave us a free dessert to take home. But for this experience with the ants I would have given this review more than three stars. I would return but would insist that we sit at a table that was not...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would - My girlfriend and I got there at about 7pm on Friday night. The place was about half full. Still we had to wait a little while to be seated while several staff walked right by us. Once we were seated we ordered drinks (water for me and a martini for her). The martini took atleast 10 minutes to make and according to my girlfriend wasn’t made very good. We were given dinner rolls that ended up being the only good thing we ate there. I ordered veal parm and my girlfriend ordered a personal size margarita pizza. We both got side salads which was basically half wilted bagged salad. The food took a very long time. My girlfriends pizza was brought out a good 10 minutes before my veal - the pizza was for some reason incredibly spicy and my girlfriend couldn’t eat it. The veal was not very good either. A few bites in I began to get a bloody/coppery taste from it. Our waitress did not come over to ask how the food was. We had to waive her down to tell her about how inedible the pizza was. She offered to have a new one made but we didn’t have time to wait. She took the Pizza over to the man who made it and he then approached our table. Without introducing himself her said “I didn’t put any spices in it” we began to reply and he cut us of and said “fine I’ll take it off the bill” and walked away. While we were waiting for our check this man came back to the table and said “I don’t know. That’s the first time in 30 years that’s ever happened” in a smug tone and walked away. - Awful experience, awful service, and mediocre to horrible food. I would never eat there again. Even if...
Read moreWent to this restaurant tonight. I ordered the Chicken Marsala and was not a fan. When politely voicing that I would like to get a chicken parm instead the server gladly accommodated that request. But the owner? Chef? Came out and proceeded to tell me there was “nothing wrong” with the dish I received and that it’s quote on quote perfect. After saying I’m sorry I didn’t like it but I will still pay for it but I’d also like a chicken parm he accommodated the request. After getting my chicken parm that was excellent i Will say, the server checked in on us and everything was great. I made a comment that the owner? Chef? Still unclear about this, was rude. To which he came back out and scolded me for calling him rude and said in front of the server that he is a “liar” and “awful at his job” I was taken back by this as I was just trying to enjoying a meal. The chef has now come out 3 times to yell and degrade me as a customer and his also degrade his own employee. After the 3rd time I started to record this as I could not even eat my meal that cost me 85$. I gladly paid for my food and left. I will never return and the tables who also left because of this before being served also will not be back to their comments. I am extremely shocked that this had happened and it was very unprofessional. However our server was fantastic and deserves to work for a employer who values his skills. As for Michaels pasta in a pan, we will never be back. But if you are looking for some harassment while eating your food this is...
