Came across the Cyrus O'Leary pie by accident. Was in a local Safeway store in early January 2016 and saw a stack of mince pies without a price marking. Found a clerk to find out price and upon hearing price walked away without attaining to do other grocery shopping. For some reason was drawn back to the pies. Last previous time even seeing a mince pie in the store must have been four years prior. This time (2016) I took another chance and purchased a mince pie with the same feeling of most likely going to be let down by the taste, like I usually am when it comes to mince pies. In fact I waited until the next day before slicing and tasting the pie. I was greatly surprised to find it was one of the best mince pies I had the pleasure of eating! I mean this pie I just had, the crust on the top was a quarter inch thick. You get a quarter inch on the bottom and a quarter inch on the top it doesn't leave much space for any kind of filling. look at the picture I included there's a huge amount of crust all around the outside.
