Akron Woman's City Club — Restaurant in Akron

I was in attendance for a celebratory luncheon for my sorority and as we were in the middle of our rituals not even close to being over someone (a staff member) bellows out "Who will be covering the cost of the event " That was inappropriate untimely unwanted and misplaced. I'm Wondering If this was because we were of the African American variety? It made the rest of the event very uncomfortable. I was Highly disappoint it in this kind of behavior by the venue! I'm sure that contracts are written and signed with contact information of the people who are in charge of the cost of this event? Why weren't they address this with th contact. What a beautiful place. It's an old home and I forget who it originally belonged to but it is beautifully restored. We had dinner in the downstairs ballroom (yes, there's another one I believe on the third floor). Beautiful gardens as well. The food was ok, I'm not sure where they had it catered from. Wedding reception here and the food was the best! They did not get us to our room where the reception was for 1 hour after we was supposed to go in. So instead of 4 oclock to eat cheese and crackers it was 5. And to sit down and they serve our meal at 5 it was 6 or after so every one was really hungery.
