OH BOY. I see lots of reviews saying "it's just McDonalds..."
Here's the thing though. McDonald's or NOT - there is a duty to provide customer service.
I visited this location on Sun. Jul 22 around 10-11PM. The drive-thru's were decently busy and quite long, but I decided to make the wait.
I parked behind two CLEARLY inebriated (whether on drugs? I couldn't be sure). They were parked at the window, and had been sitting there for TEN MINUTES. Someone finally decides to attempt at taking their order, but does so at the OPPOSITE window. The girls fail to realize this, as they go back and forth with the woman taking the order, who keeps screaming across the entire lot "I CANNOT HEAR YOU MA'AM" So, me, being tired of waiting and watching the craziness ensue, jump out of my car, run to the opposite window, and inform the lady that she is taking the order from the wrong window; and that is why she cannot hear the order. So finally, the lady jumps over to the correct window, and I listen to these girls order their food for about 5 minutes, continually asking if there's ice cream available (there was not), cookies (there was not), etc. Finally - they get their order total of about $30.00 and are told to drive up to the next window.
At this time, I drive up to the window - and wait about 7 minutes. At this time, I am told by the lady through the speaker, in a VERY straightforward manner, "WE are NOT taking orders right now."
Mind you, there are three cars behind me, and six cars total in the other line. She jumps to the opposite window, and tells the gentlemen who has also been waiting as long as I have; and he sighed heavily and was shaking his head, couldn't move due to the line we were all stuck in.
I finally get a call from my boyfriend, who is wondering where the food is, as I have been stuck in this line for now about 25-30 minutes at this point. I tell him that the lady is not taking orders at this time, and proceed to tell him the situation with the whole window-i-can't-hear-you debacle due to the frustration I was feeling...AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, the lady talks to me on the speaker...though didn't give anyone an apology for the wait, she did say to me AS I WAS ON THE PHONE "I CAN HEAR YOU!!!!"
To which I respond, "Great, can you take my order then?" She responds that she cannot, as they are too busy.
At this time, I realize this seems a bit serious and formal for a review, but I hardly give them. This was a complete waste of my GAS and time, as I made a stop at this location specifically because they were open 24 hours. The Taco Bell down the street was my next stop instead. They also could not serve me because they were only taking cash at that time, I can't make a complaint about them though, because they made the customers aware and were very apologetic for the situation.
Customer service needs to be fixed at this popular, 24 hour, college located McDonald's. FIX...
Read moreThis is the ABSOLUTE worst McDonald's I have ever been to in my entire life. You can't find a more careless, lazy, and stupid bunch of incompetent employee staff at any McDonald's ever. You cannot find a slower fast food location anywhere on the planet. You can be the only one in line and you will easily wait 15 minutes for a simple order for yourself, even in the middle of the day. No joke.
I was the second car in line, at nearly 4am on a Sunday night. The first car had one person, and they couldn't have ordered much since they took about 20 seconds to order. I ordered 2 bacon, egg, and cheese bagels. I waited in line behind the first car for 27 (twenty-seven) minutes. At that point, the first car still did not get their food but was finally asked to pull ahead. After all this time, there were at least 3 cars behind me. I got to the window and was immediately asked if I would accept "folded egg" on my McMuffin, "because otherwise it is a 15-minute wait"!!!!! I told them no, that I had been waiting in line for a half hour, that they had time to make everything on the breakfast menu 5 times over, and I asked what in the hell they were doing in there the whole time. The girl told me "hold on," and then I interrupted her to add: "and anyway, I didn't order a McMuffin." She turned back around and said, "oh, sorry, I have your order," then walked away and returned with a bag that actually had my order. As I drove away, I drove past the car that had been first in line, and they were still waiting on their order, for what was over a half hour, at nearly 4am on a Sunday, alone in their car (couldn't have ordered much). When I had paid at the first window, the employees were all giggling amongst each other. God only knows what in the hell goes on in that place, but this experience is consistent. NEVER VISIT THIS MCDONALD'S (unless you have nowhere to be and don't mind waiting 15+ minutes when you're the only car in line – trust me).
They also don't serve lunch after midnight, because they rip people off more by selling breakfast-only. I don't want breakfast at midnight. Moreover, it is located on a college campus, near a lot of college bars, and they would do so much more business if they sold lunch till 3:30am like most...
Read moreI would rate this place on this night, Thursday, Feb 15th at around 10:20pm at zero if i could. I am a driver for a popular food delivery company that I will not cite directly as i do not speak on their behalf, but my ownnin this case. They made me wait an excess of 20minutes (that we as drivers do NOT get paid for). They are supposed to have the orders ready for pickup as we arrive so we can expidite the good to our mutual customers, its part of their agreement to be a part of the program. Not only did they complete several walk in orders that came in behind me as I stood there but as I mentioned my concerns to, the "manager" i believe, who told me, "whateve's blame us..." then proceeded to walk around with an empty cup, the only remining item in my customer's order!!!! for an excess of 2 minutes before filling it so I could leave. Was she punishing me for letting them know I was missing out on business and pay while they took their time and were ourtright ill prepared and laxidasical actions and attitude??? For nearly a half an hour of my time waiting in a nearly empty mcdonalds i was compensated for what a person makes at minimum wage in around 5 minutes, because i only had to drive the deliver 2 blocks away.... If Mcdonalds wants to continue to be part of my route or anyone's route they need to shape up and/or repremand or dismiss workers who act this way. The company I work under has also been notified. I understand busy, this was not the case... this was carless neglegence and fairly sure intended spite after I addressed my concerns......
