So I just stopped in New Ming Home to grab lunch today. The woman who works there seemed pleasant at first. I was getting some suggestions on what to order since I had never been there before & I wanted to try something different. During this time when I was almost done with deciding on my order another customer came in. She seemed very agitated upon entering, she only waited a few moments when the lady that works & or owns New Ming Home asked the lady customer if she had a pick up. She did in fact & then told me to hold on while she turned to take the egg rolls out of the fryer. I told the lady customer that she could go ahead of me & pick up her food & I proceeded to sit down & wait. After a few more minutes of waiting I went back up to the window to ask the lady worker if I could sub out two of the meats for two veggies in my meal. She told me I would have to pay $1 each per veggie. I was asking if I would have to pay more for them if I was removing two of the different meats in the dish, since the meat costs more then veggies. She tells me no I would have to pay the extra $1 each. Then the customer lady starts calling me a "Karen" & saying restaurants don't sub out items in a meal. She proceeded to continue to try & argue with me & validate her rude behavior saying she just got off a 12 hr shift & continued to speak & behave rudely to me. I called her out on her rude behavior & the fact it was uncalled for, especially after I was just nice enough to let her go ahead of me in line. The lady worker chimed in with the rude lady customer & then walked away yet again to work with the food & play with her cell phone. I was like wow I am not dealing with such uncalled for rude behavior from these people & left. If I could give New Ming Home a zero star ⭐ I would. That restaurant treats their customers like garbage, along with their patrons so I will never give them my money. I could not believe I just went into this restaurant to grab lunch real quick & was verbally harassed by another customer & the staff & or owner treated me poorly, as well, all while I was pleasant to them....
Read moreThis used to be our go-to take out restaurant but after today we will order from the spot around the corner instead of driving across town to New Ming Home. Today we ordered for 6 people. We drove across town to New Ming Home because they usually have delicious food BUT today everything was wrong with the food. First off, 3 of our "spicy" orders weren't spicy at all. Even the szechuan chicken had no spice. I called and spoke with I'm guessing the manager (?) and she said "they said they put the hot oil in, some people just like really spicy". We don't need our food really spicy, but a little spice in a spicy dish would be nice... especially when we specified when ordering that we wanted the spicy option. But she was nice on the phone so there's that, at least. Ultimately, it turned out to be bad food overall. The spring rolls were greasy on the outside, gummy on the inside. The cream cheese in the crabmeat with cheese wontons tasted powdery (how is that even possible?) and the fried mushrooms were just bland, aside from the grease. I hate that we spent the money that we spent for the food to be so bad. There are a few Chinese places over here by where we live and we have avoided them but i think we will stay on our own side of town from now on and see what the other Chinese restaurants have to...
Read moreWe have been long-time customers. Tonight my family placed a large order for 6. My dad went to pick it up and paid. He brought it back to realize it was completely the wrong order (half the amount of food and way cheaper than what he'd paid). I called and they told me they had my order. My husband and I went back to pick it up and they asked for the other order back. I told her we didn't bring it because it wasn't like they could give it to someone since it had been at our home. She said "yeah but we can eat it". WHAT!? She told us we had to go back and bring back the other food before she'd give us ours. I said absolutely not and this was not our fault. After a few minutes she said "it's okay this time" and gave us our food. I told her there wouldn't be a next time. This is just a PSA that if you get food from there it MAY have already been at someone else's home that they are reselling. I am NOT buying that they would just "eat it themselves". I...
