UPDATE: Decreasing rating from 5 to 2 stars.
What a difference 2 years can make. Tried calling during business hours to make an appointment and got voicemail that asked me to leave a message. Left a message early morning shortly after they opened but didn't get a call back all day. So I called and made an appointment with a new optometrist in Streetsboro. This office actually answered their phone and and were delighted to schedule me for late next month. Great reviews and looking forward to my appointment.
I'm seeing a trend with some offices that seem to get too big for their britches and begin treating their patients as though they're doing all the favors for us. Wrong I'm the patient and the one with the money. Without us, you are nothing. Believe me, there are plenty of other excellent optometrists in town. So for now, I will take my business elsewhere.
I wish you well, Ellet Eye Care.
I had an eye exam done at Ellet Eye Care for the first time this week. The first thing I noticed when i walked in was how nice and open and clean the place is. I walked straight to the front desk where I was greeted by a very friendly woman working there. She took just a little of my information (i'm a first time patient) which took all of about 3 minutes. And just like that, the doctor was already standing there, ready for me to follow her back to the examination room. I can not say enough good about the doctor. She really was so informative regarding how my diabetes can affect my eyes. I really appreciated the time she took to explain this to me. It was very obvious that this eye doctor is sincere about the health of my eyes and wants me to be knowledgeable about my condition. Thank you thank you for the time you spent with me!
And finally, the nice woman that helped me select new frames for glasses. Very informative on pricing and I really appreciated her help in picking out frames that look just right for me.
From start to finish, this was a quick, easy and pleasant visit.
Thank you again,...
Read moreI am senior citizen on limited income. After changing over to new insurance. The great eye care place I had been going to for years was not in network. I physically walked into Ellet Eye Care, showed my new insurance card and asked, if my eye exam visits would be covered under "EYE CARE" they told me "YES". They tried to add more tests to my visit that were not covered and I declined. I told them "if not covered under insurance do not do". Months later I get a $95 bill saying my insurance did not cover last visit. Insurance company told me they submitted my eye exam under MEDICAL not eye care to resubmit claim correctly and would be covered. Lady at Ellet eye care refused to listen to insurance company and called me a liar, that they never told me visit would be covered. THEY are LIARS. DOT NOT TRUST and go somewhere else. POOR customer service and rude when I tried to resolve, a bunch of rude, unhelpfully, unwilling to fix mistakes. I am stuck with $95 bill because they lied to me and insurance company. DO NOT RECOMMEND
FOLLOWUP: I see your not willing to admit fault, start of problem. FACT 1 -amazing your so called "recording" does not have 3 employees when asked if these visits were covered by my insurance, and all 3 said "YES" on three separate times, that is called a LIE. FACT 2 - when I received bill for $95 I called insurance company first and was told claim was not filed correctly, being visit was followup for EXACT same tests covered in first visit, for you to re submit CORRECTLY and would be covered. SOLUTION. FACT - 3 a solution laid out and your employee not willing to do so and telling me insurance company ( who was wiling to help) you not willing to follow instructions and I had to pay bill taking money from me which I don't have (I CALL THAT RUDE). Then after your employee who was not willing to help.and blaming me for getting upset as RUDE??? Really??? TAKE BLAME. I am, in listening to your lies and coming to you in...
Read moreYou never know where life will take you, my life has taken my family to Ohio Medicaid Insurance otherwise known as Buckeye Community Health. I have found with this insurance that most of our regular doctors will “Grandfather” us in and help us through these tough times while others will not. It’s like a fall from grace, the majority of accepting doctors’ offices look down on you and treat you inhumanly. They remind me of war time military field clinics, overloaded, understaffed, impersonalized and only getting a fraction of the care you need. Maybe you have served your country, maybe you have multiple degrees, maybe, just maybe you’re not abusing the system, these facilities know nothing about anybody that walks through their doors yet most of them still treat you like dirt. Now, let’s talk about Ellet Eye Care, I was highly impressed by the intelligent and courteous lady who answered the phone and provided me with answers to all my questions. Even after I told her what type of insurance I had her tone didn’t change a bit, she went into sales mode letting me know why their business is better than the rest and how they can serve my family better. Right away I knew I was dealing with a doctors office that didn’t’ discriminate against Medicaid patients. When I arrived, the staff was very busy but at the same time most courteous and helpful, they made me feel welcomed to their business. They offer more services and upgrades then other vision centers and offer very affordable pricing. When it was time to see the doctor, I was pleasantly surprised as the Doctor was very knowledgeable, caring to my concerns and needs, helpful and pleasant to speak with. I highly recommend Ellet Eye Care; you will be treated with kindness, dignity and get the best eye care available...
