Wasabi Pattaya Express — Restaurant in Akron

We've been coming since their soft opening and cannot say enough good things. It's been awesome to see them continue to grow and flourish in the Ellet area. Without question the best express style hibachi in the area and honestly...better than most sit down, tableside, hibachi as well.

The portions are fantastic and the proteins are cooked excellently. Depth of flavors without the overwhelming richness or grease found in others. Consistent quality an experience every time we've been.

They are continuing to expand the menu and interior restaurant itself, but are only a 2 person operation. Be patient with ordering...

What a surprise, I was expecting average Asian takeout and got sit down restaurant quality entrees. We got the chicken and shrimp and the steak and shrimp, both with noodles instead of rice. The gyoza appetizer tasted homemade as did the dressing for the side salads. The shrimp had a nice sear on them but not overcooked and the steak was cooked to perfection, very tender as well. The chicken was cooked very nicely, tender and juicy. This quality was surprising and welcome. As others have stated, as long as this level of quality is maintained, we will count ourselves as new...

Has your establishment changed ownership recently? I have eaten here numerous times and it has always been excellent. Last night, not so much. The filet felt like it was just steak and was definitely overdone. All the sauces sent looked and tasted like yum yum sauce. The ginger sauce in the past was awesome and perfectly complimented my filet. The ginger sauce this time was creamy and orange like yum yum but was marked as ginger. Ordering here is always a splurge for us but was well worth the money. If what we received last night is the new normal, I doubt we will order...
