Score Draft Room — Restaurant in Akron

Let me explain why I only give 3 stars!! 1st as a group of professional drivers in for the 1st time, the place smelled amazing from the outside Let me say. The lemon pepper , garlic and parmesean boneless wings amazing lol.. But the time we had to wait to get our food was not okay under any circumstances especially since the were no busy. A heads up would have been appreciated. They tried to tell us too cook properly it takes ex amount of time, but coming from Louisiana kitchens and County boy kitchens, they were definitely taking to the wrong one's about cooking cause we all surely knew better. The issues is probably there ability to only cook so much product at a time. Time for a serious upgrade fellas!! Because we weren't the only customers unhappy about it!! Waiting over an hour for a very simple toasted turkey sandwich that had to be remade, not cool!! The food again delicious on all levels..but the wait times don't make any sense and can really hurt business. The bathrooms need Jesus and you will probably need boxing gloves to box the Nats & flies. Please work on it folks!! Great spot, Simple fixes!! That can go a long way!! Great place to watch the game and again, fix those very important points and you'll have a five star establishment. A clean bathroom says alot about the place you eat in. I've lived in Akron for 6 years. When I first moved here, the score was super fun and I was a regular. However, a few years ago, they changed their dress code. I tried to go on a Wednesday with some friends for drinks, wings, and a game. They turned me away because I was wearing shorts. Mind you, the bar was EMPTY. We just wanted to get a drink and some food. But because of my 'inappropriate attire', the bouncer would not let me in. Tonight, I decided to give it one more shot. I hadn't had a single drink, but I did trip on the tall top stair. The bouncer would not let me in 'because I was stumbling all over the place and way too drunk.' Again, I was sober and presented my ID.

Seriously, save yourself the trouble and stay FAR away from Score. The bouncers are power hungry nobodies who want to feel the little tinge of power from turning paying customers away. God forbid you ever trip in...

I recently found out there is a new owner so I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! First thing I noticed was how nice it was inside. I was shocked at the size of the place and how clean it looked. Next was the good selection of beers. I've always been into craft beer and have done beer tours at quite a few bars. I was very happy with the different drafts available and had the best pumpkin ale I've ever had. My wife is on the keto diet and was glad to see that they had Truly which is great for watching carbs and sugars. We ordered some wings and pizza.
