Lawler's BBQ has always been a consistently great place to eat, so I was thrilled when they opened a new location on Winchester Road. Obviously, I'm not the only person in this area that feels this way, because they've stayed packed out since they opened up about 4-6 weeks ago. I've picked up 2-3 drive thru orders every week since they opened for business. You can order online, pay with a card, and theyll bring your order to your car after you park in a 'curbside pickup' space, but it's just as easy to get your food by using their drive thru. EVERYTHING IS GOOD!! Tuesday's is 2/$13 stuffed potatoes day. They'll also give you the $6.50 each price on Tuesdays whether you only order one or seven. My family LOVES their ham by the pound. It's the closest you'll get to your grandmother's ham and you won't have to wait until Christmas!! I often order/pay for their two pounds of ham online, take it home and add my own sides(mashed potatoes, mac'n cheese, green beans, rolls, etc.) for a family dinner, then eat the leftover ham with mayonnaise on white bread for an awesome sandwich or midnight snack. It is DELICIOUS!! And my dogs love the cut up chicken breast meat I buy for them or the pork that I share with them in super small quantities every once in a while. They are closed on Sunday and they also close by 8pm every other day right now during COVID. If you haven't tried this place out yet, you DEFINITELY should because you won't be disappointed. The only issue you'll have from then on will be adding money into your weekly budget to buy food @...
Read moreOrdered from the Winchester Rd location. My husband got my nachos without the sauce or queso cheese so it wouldn’t be soggy later and got both of those on the side. The container of queso they gave me barely has any in it, or at least not the amount they’ve put on my nachos previously. My son got nachos with everything already on it and he has a ton of queso. Husband asked if he could get a little more and they said he would have to pay for it which, I completely understand paying for extra stuff but when you’re asking for more because you barely have any for the food that it comes with, that’s different in my opinion. My nachos and my son’s have just a very small amount of pork on them and mine has hardly any lettuce. Luckily he checked the order before he left because they had forgotten my sauce. If this was the first time this kind of stuff had happened, that would be one thing but it’s happened the last several times we have ordered. The staff didn’t seem to want to be very helpful at all during this visit either. I get that my order might be a little complicated since I didn’t want the nachos fully deconstructed, just partially but the attitude that was given was like it was just such a bother. Lastly, why does it seem like we are paying more for the food and getting less portions or at least less portions of the ingredients it comes with? Just...
Read moreWe were so disappointed with this place. I really expected good food since we were in the south. My husband knew something was up when we opened the door and didn't smell any smoke nor saw any grills. The food was basically baked. I got a chicken breast with mac n cheese and bbq beans. And the meal was like a school cafeteria made it. The sauce on the mac n cheese tasted like powder and water and it dripped off the pasta like water. The bbq beans were just sweet pork n beans. And the bbq sauce for that flavorless pasta chicken breast came in a packet. My husband felt the same about his ribs. I couldn't eat either of the sides. My husband forced his meal down. That was a waste of $80. If you want real bbq, ...
