Whataburger — Restaurant in Huntsville

I brought my girls here for a late dinner after a long day. I was hungry and ordered a second patty on my jalapeno and cheese burger. My girls both wanted the kids chicken tender meals.

We sat down to a very clean dining area, and right after what would have been the dinner rush. Impressive!

When the food arrived everything was exactly as we had ordered it... Except my second patty was missing.

I went to the counter to inform the cashier. I was greeted promptly but a man I can only assume is the manager, Emmanuel. He listened and was attentive. He asked me if I wanted them to bring me the extra patty, or to remake the whole thing. I told him the patty would be fine, I didn't want to be "that guy". Kindly he replied "It's not about being that guy. This is what I am here for".

They remade my burger, and brought it out shortly. He noticed I had two girls, he built some report by telling me about his three little girls, as we are both girl dads.

He went above and beyond to be sweet to them and offered them both small shakes. I'm not an idiot so of course I said yes they could have them.

This man's customer first mindset is mind blowing different from the norm of fast casual restaurants, and superceded all of my expectations.

This is THE BEST Whataburger in the greater Huntsville area. And yes, so far I have been to them all... Because I can't resist a good burger when the mood strikes, the food is reasonably priced, and now THIS SERVICE! 🤩💯

Ordered at the kiosk since nobody was actually behind a register when I walked in (normally I like using the kiosk anyways)and didn't encounter a problem until I needed a "tent" for my order. No big deal since there were none on the lone ordering machine so I asked the young lady for one (she was super nice but bewildered why I needed one in the first place 🤔) So got that and then my order was complete......or so I thought. Then I finished and my receipt printed but didn't print and so started the debacle. I asked for my drink since I ordered a meal and the search was on since I didn't have the receipt so what looked to be a supervisor tried looking up my order (mind you I already knew the order was in and all I wanted was the cup) and found it eventually for verification 👍 but still all I wanted was the cup so I could sit down and wait. Ended up patiently waiting as others ordered and then asked politely for the cup to which the young lady was prompt to give me. Sat and waited for my food and then realized the whole trip was a mistake....food was barely average temperature and so were the onion rings. To top it off I was asked if I wanted ketchup and I swiftly replied yes I would like some spicy ketchup but guess what.....they did not have any 🤦🏼‍♂️. In the 16+yrs that I have frequented a what a burger they have never been out (it's a staple) of spicy ketchup. I'm sorry if you feel some type of way about this location but I will literally never...

I was waiting to go here until the lines died down a little, so tonight when I saw there were only a few cars in the drive thru I thought that now would be a good time to try it out. When I ordered the food though, whoever was working in the drive thru was completely incomprehensible and had no clue what they were doing. After I had to restate my order 4 times and they repeated the order back correctly I thought that I would at least get what I wanted, but they shorted me out on 3 items and gave me the wrong sauce. I mentioned this to the drive thru attendant and she told me to get back in line. The line was ridiculous as well, even though there were only around 5 cars in the 2 lane drive thru, it took nearly 30 minutes for me to get my food.

Another thing I thought was insane was how many employees were just standing around doing absolutely nothing. There were at least 7 employees standing around the window of the drive thru and another 3 at the register that I could see inside. Not even counting whoever was in the back...

Overall, abysmal service. The food was about what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant. This place DESPERATELY needs better management or something, there is no reason to have that many people standing around and taking that long to make food and STILL mess...
