My husband and I stopped at the drive-thru for two bacon egg and cheese biscuits, one Sprite, two coffees and one chicken with cheese biscuit. I get to the window thinking that my order was $11 and some change and it was $12 and change and the young man said that he forgot to add cheese to the chicken biscuit order. I get our food and the woman at the window growls her voice like she was upset that she had to get creamer and sugar. We leave and my husband opens his biscuit and realizes that there is no cheese on the chicken biscuit and no receipt. So I turn around and go back. I sit in the car and my husband is inside for almost 45 minutes!All he wanted was a chicken with cheese biscuit and his receipt!The young lady behind the register was extremely rude, snatched the biscuit out of my husband's hand and threw it down either in the trash can or on the floor and then tended to the rest of the customers(colored) in the line completely ignoring the fact that my husband was standing in the store waiting for his food and a receipt. Then the customers in the store we're getting a kick out of it! All colored people and it turned racist. They enjoyed the fact that the ladies behind the cash register were giving a white man and a white woman a hard time about their food. The woman behind the register was teasing me and mocking me saying “you don't want the biscuit he didn't want the biscuit oh wait a minute you didn't want the biscuit” and didn't want to give him a receipt. He asked if he was going to get a receipt and she said probably not! I tell her that we have a wedding to get too and we really need that receipt, she then mocks me with the colored customer and says “oh she has a wedding to go to!” Seriously! What kind of people are you hiring to work your stores? The woman at the register did not even have a McDonald's uniform on! She had a picture of a naked woman on her shirt! She was the worst one of all. She was completely belligerent and ignorant! At least the assistant manager showed up and she helped my husband and gave him a receipt and his money back. That is not the issue now. The issue is the way that my husband and I were treated horribly by these rude, nasty people working inside your McDonald's restaurant in Alabaster. If nothing is done about it we will go to the media. All these fast food restaurant workers want above minimum wage and y'all can't even get an order right and you act like you don't even want to be there! This isn't over. Read moreThe absolute worst customer service award goes to....that's right..McDonald's in Alabaster (next to the Foundry thrift store) Waited in drive thru for a while, wasn't sure if the white car at menu was taking a long time or if it was the store because there were several cars in line, get up to window and the young man just says 13 dollars and something which was our total for 1 boys 4pc happy meal, 1 mocha frappe, 1 mcdouble, 1 small fry and an oreo mc flurry. My husband pays with a card, and we wait for a few minutes then move up and wait...the white car at window leaves then it's our turn. I have never had worst service, I almost never act a fool in public (work retail) but I must say I did lose myself a bit a few minutes in... We wait at window...man opens window and says.. sir what did you have... we told him and the man with the broom ...a mcdouble, happy meal, frappe... they go to the screen again..then come give us my sons happy meal wide open...couldn't fold the box, I guess. They go back to the screen....come back and ask what did you have...my husband answers again...they say 2 frappes and no just 1, well we don't have any Mocha would caramel be ok...sure...then they bring us the mcdouble and fry. We say we need the mcflurry or well can we just change it and get another frappe? He calls a lady up, she checks the screen and says it's not paid for then says something to the man at the 1st window then we wait a minute and the man ooen8the window again and says $14.26 sir...my husband says we just paid him before pulling up...can you show me your receipt...husband is digging for it and says I'm not sure he gave me one.. but I just paid with my card...the man says well give me your receipt....oh now I lose it..I told him to give us our money back he didn't even know what we ordered after he ask 5 times and now your saying we didn't pay. Ma'am I dont need the attitude...(no he didn't..oh my sweet Jesus) the lady comes over says what's the problem...husband starts telling her and she says well i need you to give me your receipt. I say well I'm getting my money and you can keep your food. My husband just drives off...so we are arguing a little...he tells me to call and complain. I check my phone for debit transactions and BOOM! MCDONALD'S $36.07!! I found the receipt on the truck floorboard and... I believe we were charged for the white cars order. $36.07 @ 8:16 pm on 12/19/20. I am just disgusted..not only did we get treated like we were trying to steal but we actually paid 3 times the amount...
Read moreUPDATE 2: So I had some AMEX benefit for McDonald's I wanted to use. It had probably been around 2 years since I attempted to go through the drive-thru. I didn't even get to place an order. Nobody in line. I sat at the speaker for a couple minutes before I initiated conversation and was told it would be a minute. Another 1-2 minutes passed by and I gave up and went to the Jack's down the road. Apparently things are worse than when I left the last update. Judging from other reviews with the last 6 months or so, I'm not the only one this is happening to. How can a McD's be so bad?
UPDATE: This place is still the worst. DO NOT GO HERE. They shorted me on the order. They did not initially give or offer a receipt. When I handed the bag back, stating what I was missing, they looked and assured me the item was there. I just took them at their word, which they gave curtly. Well the item was not there. Not only did they short me, taking my money, they lied to my face. This place needs to be closed down.
This is without a doubt, the worst McDonald's I have ever been to and one of the worst fast-food restaurants I have ever been to. I have been 3 times thus far and not a single time has there not been an issue ranging from: extremely long waits, incorrect orders or missing items, stale items, and, in the latest incident, cold food. Yes. Cold food. Clearly the burritos I got were either frozen or in a fridge and I had to microwave them about a minute and a half to get them up to temp. Naturally they fell apart after this and I had to eat them with a spoon. The increased cost of food means it isn't remotely worth it anymore. Avoid this place. It's ludicrous how bad this store is and it probably needs...
