You won't find a more miserable and horrible dining experience in the USA than this fine establishment here. I came with one other person, my girlfriend, on a Tuesday morning. There was no one else in sight. The lady working the counter was shouting at us with a nasty snarl from the get go. We were never greeted, no one said "Hello", she just slammed the window open and said "YES!?" She yelled "CAN'T HEAR YOU" with vile hostility while staring at the floor despite us yelling our order through the open window. It was as if taking our quick order was sending her to the Gulag. I had an immediate intuition that we should leave and go somewhere else, but forgave the extremely rude woman at the window, hoping the meal would make up for her behavior. The food arrived several minutes later, and I slam dunked it like LeBron into the trashcan after 3 bites. I have never in my life left a meal unfinished from a paid eatery, even if I didn't like it. The grits tasted like watery mucus from someone with chronic pneumonia. It was completely liquid and obviously purely sulfur water. I've eaten plain grits from the worst of places and they were outstanding compared to this vile specimen. The biscuits tasted like dried dog excrement. The scrambled eggs tasted like a rubber tire from the side of the highway. After reading all the good reviews, I couldn't believe how DISGUSTING AND REVOLTING EVERYTHING WAS. The service was what amazed me the most. My girlfriend was incredibly polite despite the woman being a scowling witch the entire ordeal. When she said "Thank you!" to her as she was handing us the food, she finally offered "manners" by snarling "WELCOME" and slamming the food down at us and slamming the window in her face. She literally slammed the food at my girlfriend for no apparent reason whatsoever. I went back to the window to calmly and politely ask why they acted like this, and they stared at me as if Satan had complete possession of their souls. I wasn't even upset at this point, just confused, mortified, and a little bit scared for my life. I honestly don't understand why they held such hostility to two paying customers trying to have a quick simple breakfast, it was the most confusing and amazing experience I have had in a long time. This was BY FAR my worst eating experience out of 50 states and 7 countries by about a million miles. I'll never forget this hilariously horrible experience, and would NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY HUMAN, ANIMAL OR VIRUS. I will do all I can to spread the word about how horrible this experience was....
Read moreFirst time here (Saturday), and will NEVER go back. Looks family friendly, but anything but. Rude, incompetent, disorganized help who, after 35 minutes, could not figure out how to fill my cheeseburger/fries order. I went to window 3 times, and was told my cheeseburger was somewhere "in the line" and they would call me when ready. Fries are bagged and sitting in a tray, not fresh. All the drive-in cars passed through, people after me got served, and I was still told my burger was "in the line". Did it fall on the floor? Sweat pouring off worker assembling burgers, was going to wipe her face with her hand until she saw me at the window, then disappeared out of view. I did get the shake from my order - had to ask for it - (comes from a push-button machine machine, gunky texture) with chocolate dripping down the side of the cup, no napkins or spoon given, have to ask for everything (I didn't dare). The order was almost $13. They told me they would just give me my money back (less the shake). Seriously? A burger place that can't get a burger served? Unbelievable. I left hungry....
Read moreManagement really needs to come and clean house. The staff here are beyond rude and treat the customers as if they are a nuisance. I have never been ANYWHERE( including McDonalds and checkers)that I have been told no as to how I want my food prepared. The employee who takes your order at the window makes it a hassle every time. I'm certain that there are plenty of teenagers who would appreciate a job and provide far better customer service. I will drive to high springs for Bevs before I return to Alachua as I refuse to spend my hard earned money anywhere that I am disrespected. In addition to being rude they never include all of the items purchased and when you return to get what you paid for , again the staff are rude and make it a point to make you wait longer than those currently waiting. By this time, of course everything else you ordered that you actually...
