Shake Shack Waterford Lakes — Restaurant in Alafaya

We’ve never had shake shack before, so we decided to come here for a nice, quick meal. On a Saturday evening, it was very busy, and there were 4 kiosks where you can order from. Fortunately, we were able to find a table, so we dined-in.

♡ French Onion Shack Stack. 7/10! This is a limited-time only burger, and I’m glad I was able to try it out. The ‘shroom burger is my favorite; the mushroom was a little juicy, and the cheese was gooey and delicious. My only gripe is that I wish they included more caramelized onions. For a French onion burger, you would expect there to be good amount of onions. It seem like my burger was lacking it.

♡ Double Shackburger w/ bacon. 4.5/10! It cost an additional $2 to add bacon in the burger, and my bf was very disappointed when he saw that they forgot to include it in there. Besides that, he said that the patty itself tasted fresh, juicy and there was a crust to it. However flavor-wise, he said that the meat lacked seasoning, so it tasted bland to him. He would not order this burger again.

♡ Parmesan Garlic Fries. 4/10! This is a limited-time only side, and I honestly regret getting it. For what it is, it was not worth the money. It’s just a little bit of sprinkled parmesan on some fries. Also, the roasted garlic parmesan aioli wasn’t that good; it had a weird texture to it that I didn’t really like. The only positive is that the fries were hot and crispy.

♡ Cookies and Cream Shake. 4/10! Bf ordered this, and he thought it was too sweet. It was a bit runny, and he wished the consistency was a bit thicker. He wouldn’t order this again.

♡ Coffee Shake. 7/10! I thought it was pretty good. Coffee flavor was sweet and delicious. The color and taste reminds me of Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream which I really like.

People were constantly moving tables and chairs around, and the tables themselves had crumbs everywhere. As someone who has worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for many years and who also reviews and rates restaurants across multiple platforms, I’ve never experienced such unprofessional conduct at a Shake Shack location. My family (party of three) visited this location around 11 p.m. to grab a late bite. From the moment we walked in, the energy and atmosphere felt chaotic and unwelcoming. After placing our order through the kiosk, we waited over 20 minutes with no updates or confirmation. When we inquired, the staff claimed there was no record of our order. We reordered, received a confirmation text, and continued to wait. At that point, a staff member who identified herself as the manager approached our table in an extremely confrontational and unprofessional manner. Instead of calmly helping to resolve the issue, she immediately became defensive, argumentative, and loud… completely disregarding basic customer service standards. She raised her voice, refused to assist us, and made inappropriate comments in front of other customers and my family. This behavior was unacceptable and does not align with the Shake Shack brand or the level of professionalism expected from a manager. The situation escalated unnecessarily due to her tone and attitude, leaving my family uncomfortable and embarrassed in a public setting. As someone who visits and reviews Shake Shack locations frequently, I can confidently say this experience was far below company standards. I strongly recommend that upper management and HR review this incident thoroughly, as this individual’s conduct reflects poorly on the entire franchise. One of the weirdest and worst experiences I’ve ever had at a food place. I ordered a grilled cheese and fries on their mobile app. I sat down in the cafe with my order and opened it up to find bread with two cold uncooked pieces of cheese in the middle.

I went up to the register and kindly asked if I could have it remade because the cheese was not melted. The employee looked at me as if I was crazy and asked again for clarification. I said, the cheese isn’t melted? Can I have the cheese melted. She said “you want the cheese melted??” Again like if this was impossible to understand and I said “Yes. I ordered a grilled cheese.”

Their whole kitchen is open and when she told the people cooking that I wanted it remade and I wanted the cheese melted they also reacted confused.

I waited for a new one patiently and they handed me an incredibly burnt sandwich. As if they just tried to smash the bread on the grill for extra long to get the cheese warm.

Considering I had to go back to work I didn’t even have time to argue or complain more.

Absolutely wasted my money. You shouldn’t have a grilled cheese on your menu if you don’t even know what one is. Which how do you NOT understand what one is supposed to look like?????

I was a supervisor in food in beverage for 4 years. No one ever apologized to me, and I can’t believe they sent food out of the kitchen that undercooked and then that overcooked.

Like if you can’t nail cheese toasted on bread what are you doing...
