Starbucks — Restaurant in Alamo Heights

This is my almost everyday Starbucks stop. The service is usually not the best, but I’m not expecting anything above ordinary. But today I had an absolutely awful service: I’ve arrived to a very dirty eatery, I was walking around trying to find a clean spot, ending up using my personal sanitizer to clean a little area to sit down and have my breakfast. Two employee were loud with each other, laughing and making inappropriate jokes. While placing an order I’ve noticed how dirty was the prep area, the employee hands wasn’t the cleanest either. My food was prepped awfully sloppy, the sandwiches were slide inside the bags in a very unpleasant manner, one of the sandwiches was broken in half, toppings were all over the bag and looked very unappetizing. My beverages were both much smaller in size, and most of the hot drink was a foam. When I kindly asked a male barista to remake my beverages, he gave me a mean look and said that he can refund me instead of making a fresh cup of coffee. He should change his rude attitude and serve loyal and new customers in a better way. Female employee was very rude, not only to me but other guests as well. Manager is incompetent. Never steps up as a manager to help out on the floor when busy by just walking around behind them. He can’t even type a simple order into the system and had me waiting 10min to put a one drink order in. I always see the staff running around like headless chicken and there is always so few staff. The manager constantly says they are short staffed but when I talk to the barista all of them say that the manager doesn’t schedule properly. Drink quality is always off. Their drink sequencing is not done to Starbucks standards. Most staff is friendly and very sweet except a few who have bad attitudes. Cafe open recently so cleanliness in cafe is awful. Crumbs everywhere floor is disgusting. Table not wiped down. Only see baristas dust the crumbs off with their hands!!!! Unsanitary completely. No sanitation is done ever. Very disappointed and shocked honestly. Just came through the drive thru and the drive thru barista was very short and came across very rude didn’t shed a smile or a thank you and shut the window without say much while I waited on my drink and if she did say something it was mumbled as the window shut. I got my iced grande caramel macchiato and immediately spilt all over me thank God I was wearing white. I said lite caramel syrup and I got known and it was so bitter I couldn’t even get through the first sip. Just very shocked overall and if it wasn’t for me having to get to work I would have come back and talked to a manager.
